- Iโ€™m 23 days postpartum & Iโ€™m wearing @recdedmondโ€™s training shorts because none of mine fit. Haha! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Iโ€™m down roughly 14kg since I have birth (Iโ€™d gained about 21kg while preg). It just shows how much fluid I had! Itโ€™s great not to be swollen anymore too! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ My tummy isnโ€™t completely down yet and itโ€™s really squishy but itโ€™s getting there. My abs seems to be almost completely back together which Iโ€™m so happy about! They were 3 finger widths apart after I gave birth! The core & pelvic floor work I do everyday is obviously working. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ . I managed to do some really light exercises at home today for my pelvic floor & core & some resistant band crab walks & monster walks! It was really light & easy but feels so good to do something slightly active! Iโ€™m looking forward to returning to the gym in 2.5 weeks! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Itโ€™s going to take a lot of hard work to get some sort of strength and fitness back but if I commit myself and Iโ€™m consistent I believe Iโ€™ll get there. โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ . .

As hard a job as it is (I'm learning this very quickly haha ๐Ÿ˜) I'm really appreciative that I have a beautiful, healthy little girl. One of the important things for me back before I gave birth was to not lose sight of my long term goals. Obviously Mia is the number one priority in my life but that's not to say I can't achieve all the goals that I have set out for myself. 2018 is going to be a very big year for me. I've set myself some pretty ambitious (but attainable) goals both in business and for myself physically. As soon as I've been given the all clear from my doctor I plan on getting stuck into my FIT program along with the tens of thousands of ladies from around the world in my amazing community. While I'm still recovering from giving birth I'm trying to use my time as best I can to begin kicking some of my business goals. I'm super fortunate to have an amazing team of people that I work with that have been with me for a very long time. - I barely recognise myself when I look in the mirror! . Iโ€™m far from a โ€œglam mumโ€ HAHA! ๐Ÿ˜‚ - I currently live in what you could call โ€œgranny undiesโ€, it hurts to do much with the stitches from my episiotomy, and feeding is extremely painful - I had no idea it would be this bad! ๐Ÿ˜ซ My back is still really sore and when I walk around it literally feels like my insides are going to fall out. ๐Ÿ™ˆ I also had diastasis recti that was 3 finger widths apart the day after giving birth. . My pregnancy was not how I thought it would be, I thought Iโ€™d be exercising regularly the whole way through but that did not happen as I was sick a lot of the time and had back pain that made it hard to just walk around the house. I ended up gaining over 21kg during my pregnancy in fat, fluid, baby, placenta etc. . So many people told me I would โ€œbounce right backโ€ after giving birth like a lot of other fit women do. - Well thatโ€™s definitely not the case for me! Itโ€™s only 5 days after I gave birth to Mia and I look about 6 or so months pregnant. I can tell Iโ€™m going to have a LOT of hard work ahead of me to get fit and strong again which I KNOW I can do but itโ€™s not my priority right now - spending this time with my daughter is. Getting my โ€œbody backโ€ can take a back seat for the time beingโ€ฆ Iโ€™ll get there in a realistic time frame & I refuse to put pressure on myself to get there. . I am SO blessed and beyond happy to bring home my baby girl Mia today. I feel completely content. - Flashback to 19 weeks pregnant when I still had my abs ๐Ÿ˜‚ - theyโ€™re nowhere to be seen now (with good reason of course). Iโ€™m counting down the days until I get to hold my baby. It will be any day now! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ My fitness goals for next year will be to do some rehab work to get my body working well again after carrying my baby. My back is really bad now, I struggle to stand and walk around the house, I was in tears last night because I couldnโ€™t get comfortable in bed without it hurting. Iโ€™m amazed at how bad it has gotten. (Yeah Iโ€™m being a whiner ๐Ÿ˜) . Iโ€™m looking forward to correcting my posture and imbalances, strengthening my pelvic floor, core & glutes and of course building some muscle back.
