- #5MonthsPostpartum 🤱🏼💪🏼 . ☀️ We’re back in Australia & it was such a beautiful sunny day today! 😃🙌🏼 It’s great to be home! - I’m SO motivated to get back into being consistent with my workouts and healthy meals from my FIT Program! I did a workout tonight but jet lag got the better of me and I ended up cutting it short. I practiced what I preach and listened to my body - I’ll give it another go tomorrow! 😃👊🏼 I can’t believe Mia is 5 months old now! 😱 It feels like I only just gave birth to her! 🙈 I’ve decided to start introducing solids mixed with breastmilk. I’m just deciding on what food to give her first. Any suggestions? 🍌🥑 Banana or avocado maybe? 😃 . 👶🏼 @babymiaelise . .

- I’m still not sure whether @babymiaelise’s onesie is a bear or a sheep but either way it’s pretty cute and snuggly! 🐻🐑 Alright, I’m about to get slightly deep for a little bit... I find it crazy how many people spend their whole lives searching for happiness, most of the time in all the wrong places. Nothing they have ever seems “enough” or they get bored with what they’ve got and want more or different. I think it’s easy to overlook the amazing people and things we have in our lives when we’re so caught up focusing on what we don’t have. Yep there will always be things we don’t have and there will always be people out there with “more” which doesn’t necessarily mean “better”. On the other there will always be people with less than you. Anyway my point is we all have so many things in our lives right now that have the potential to make us insanely happy if we only took the time to truly appreciate them... and the things that make us happiest in my opinion aren’t “things” at all - they’re PEOPLE! I have everything I need right now, my amazing man @recdedmond who I’ve been with for 8.5 years and my incredibly gorgeous little girl Mia who is the absolute highlight of my life. I am honestly the happiest I’ve ever been and I always try to make the time every single day to be truly grateful for my family. I still have down days or times when I feel sh*tty and temporarily forget about how blessed I am 🙄🙈 but the more effort I make to spend time practicing gratitude and making sure I have perspective the happier I am. . - Just a few thoughts for the day! 😊😘 Be grateful for all you DO have. Family (which don’t have to be blood by the way) are MOST important! 💗🙏🏼 . .

Mia was an angel the whole time & even slept through the (noisy) celebratory parties! 🙌🏼 I’m so blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing people including my special little cherub @babymiaelise 👼🏼💖 I love being able to take her around the world with me - I just hope I’ll be able to keep bringing her. She’s great now while she’s young but everyone keeps telling me that the older she gets the harder it will be especially when she’s running around! Dec and I are pretty hyperactive so there’s a high chance Mia will be too! Haha! 😂🙈

It hasn’t been easy and there have been many hurdles since starting my postpartum journey but that’s life for you! - You’ve just gotta pick yourself up and keep going! 😊 I’m working my way back to being fit and strong without being restrictive, doing excessive exercise and most importantly without sacrificing my precious time with my daughter Mia. - I went on one of my favourite TV shows yesterday to tell my story about suffering with depression from a very young age, having no self worth, or confidence, overdoing cardio, under eating & post baby blues. - I talked about how I overcame these to become the person I am now. The topic of mental health is extremely important to me and I feel that the more we all talk about it the more people will be able to: 1. Know they’re not alone. 2. Have hope that they can get better. 3. Seek professional help and support from loved ones. I used to be so ashamed of having depression and always felt like I wasn’t normal and felt alone and I don’t want others to feel the same. I was able to find a way to overcome my issues and working out and eating nourishing foods played a huge part in that. I’m not sure if you ever 100% recover from depression but I know (from experience) that you can definitely manage it and become happy. In order to be “happy” I believe you need to work on it consistently - just like working out. If you want to be “fit” you’ve gotta be consistent with your training. If you want to be “happy” you’ve gotta consistently be doing things that MAKE you happy. - It sounds simple and it’s definitely easier said than done but that could be said about anything right!? Anyway on a lighter note, I just got home today, and apart from being really tired and jet lagged I’m feeling pretty good. I kept up my healthy eating while I was in LA even though I wasn’t able to train - any time I had off I spent with Mia.
