- I had a super fun weekend at my first US Open Nationals. It was amazing to compete against some of the most legendary climbers ever on some crazy hard boulders! Although I tried to have no expectations going into the comp, I found myself not feeling great in iso and not having a very good warm up. Heading onto the floor I felt much more nervous than I thought I’d be, which affected my climbing throughout the comp. I ended up not topping boulders that I could have if I’d just read beta more efficiently. I ended up missing semi-finals by 6 points and finishing in 29th. It was still a great experience that I’ll never forget and I’m really looking foreward to another chance next year. I learned alot at this comp and I know it will help my game. Home in California now, but heading back to SLC in just 4 days for Youth Nationals. Psyched for that and some much needed time on real rock after! 📷: @greg_mionske

- I had an amazing weekend out in New Mexico competing at my first ever Open National level comp-- The Yank n' Yard. Some of the most legendary climbers in the world competed and it was so fun to go against them in the first round. I'm really happy with my 14th place finish against that group! The next day I went back for the citizens comp to gain more experience on different climbs and I wound up taking 1st in the 19 and under category. 3rd day on we stopped by Priest Draw for a short session. Here's one of my flashing the classic line "Anorexic" V6. Such an amazing area! Psyched for the next stop of the National Cup Series in SF next month! 📸@jessewphoto
