- so I’ve been tagged by so many of my wonderful insta friends 😛 to do a 5 things about me! I thought I’d make it a post. 1. I’ve never broken a bone! That’s probably because I have really boring hobbies like reading and drawing. Oh that could be fact 1.5... I’m a total hermit 😂 2. Bubloo and I met in art school! We were best friends and I always used to eat all his ramen. LOL 3. I’m pretty tall and not petite by any means! I’m about 5’8 with a broad frame. I used to wish I was small and petite like other girls but I got over it eventually. Work with what you got girrrrl 🙏 my P.E teacher even wanted me to play basketball on the team. That was UNTIL he saw me actually play. Hahahahaaa! 4. When I was in high school, I hated my art class. Like, haaaated it. I don’t think I really ever even showed up. That didn’t change much into art school. I think I just don’t like being told what/how to do things... I just prefer to figure it out. Who’s with me on this. It takes longer but it’s worth it in the end. 🙌 5. I’m 22! My birthday is on January 26 which is.. tomorrow 😳 so, 23! 😝 I TAG ALL OF MY LOVELY FOLLOWERS TO COMMENT 5 THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF! 😍😍

- I had a wonderful time doing Isha’s engagement henna! It’s always cool to be able to create unique designs instead of the same old work! This was inspired by a Pinterest photo (the one with a half circle and hearts attached to a string dropping down like jewelry! Lemme know who made it if you guys know! EDIT: it’s by @aman_gupta20) and by the wonderful amazing @toral1! Also guys it’s a mirrored image lol 😂 but pretty much how it ended up! I’ll spam you with a few more pix later 😘💕

- A bit of bridal practice to start the morning 😝 lately Bubloo and I have been waking up at 6:15 every morning to go for a walk. It’s been the best thing I’ve done for my mental health. And yes that means taking clients earlier too. Of course for bridals, there will always be nights I end up staying out till late, but before I never used to correct my sleeping schedule back. Now, I try to still wake up early the next day to keep my sleeping schedule on track. Finally growing up, I suppose 😎🤣 #jk #notreally ooh! Design inspo - @hennabydivya (hope you are having a wonderful trip girly!! 😘) & @mehndidesigner ♥️

- THANK you to everyone who purchased cones last week! All of you received a little extra with ♥️ I thought I’d share a bit more about my cones for anyone who is curious about them. Firstly, each cone weighs about 15-20 grams. I think this is the biggest I could get them while still being able to fit comfortably in the hand (not flopping over). This puts them at around 5-7 inches tall! All blends stain exactly the same and use the same VERY well sifted henna powder (trust me on this you guys, the sift is outstanding!) One thing that’s important to me is that all the cones are seamless. This means - every side of the cello is taped down and all the tape is flat-edged (no crinkly edges which is a tiny pet peeve of mine)! The stickers and tape are ultra thick, water resistant and freezer friendly packaging quality, so you do not have to worry about them peeling off after your cones have been frozen. The pin colors indicate which blend it is to save some time! All cones are made using lemon juice - this means that when I ship them, they haven’t even finished dye releasing and when you get them, they are ready to use (it’s best to freeze them for a bit first because the consistency may be a tad affected by the weather)! I also try to include a few freebies with every order when I can, especially of other blends for my lovely customer to experiment and try out 😚 shipping is a flat $5 for priority mail (Thats a good deal! I cover a bit of your shipping for you as a thank you for your purchase!) and all cones come with an aftercare card and instructions on how to properly care for them! They of course are made with LOADS of ♥️💕❤️💗😘 curious to try them? Just click on the link in my Bio! Then head over to the “SHOP” section and click on the blend you like. Simple & easy! OMG. One last thing. If you have ANY issues with your cones? I promise we will work it out together. I’ll either refund you or send you new cones because life is an ever learning lesson and I want to make sure you love your cones. 🙏

- I love love love bridal feet! Well how they look when they’re done, not really doing them 😂😂 I take clients here at my home studio here in Glendale! It’s a better option in my opinion... my salon chair allows brides to basically relax and doze off while I henna their feet and hands 😝 of course, tradition makes us want to have things the usual way, which I understand and respect. But for all my brides who’ve visited my place for their studio bridal, THANK YOU for trying something new! ♥️ I’ll be posting her hands later, so lovely. We both love @hennabydivya and so both her hands and feet were inspired by her! Thanks girl for your constantly awesome work that inspires so many of us 😘 and I hope everyone’s having a wonderful Saturday. #bridalhenna#bridalhennala#lahennaartist#losangeleshenna#hennainlosangeles#mehndi#bridalmehndi#hennadesign#hennatattoo

- Created this using more tattoo tracing paper. You can buy it online or I’d assume at craft stores. It’s 3 papers stuck together. You draw on the top one, the middle one is full of ink, and the last one has a wax layer that transfers the ink onto skin (your drawing will be flipped). It’s really great for those of you who love to draw and want your drawings in Henna (great for animals!) EDIT Clarification! You will still of course have to go over your drawing with a henna cone 😝 Do you like hatched linework? Check out @artsofzaman!

- Totally starting off the year with that long azz post that no one wants to read 😂 but. Here we go: this was the some of the practice I did in the month of December! Every amazing henna artist I’ve spoken to has based their skill on just one thing! Practice. I still get loads and loads of DMs about this. But yeah, practice is the way to get better. No shortcut around it (sorry!) practice your paste, practice your lines, practice your application method/which way your hand is placed when designing. Lately I’ve been using plain old printer paper (8 x 11) with 2 borders in it (to resemble a forearm) and I can get about 2 designs on each page (4 lines beside each other). Paper is great cuz you can see your progress. I know it’s a real pain to practice, but when else will you get to make mistakes? It definitely can’t be on a clients hand lol! Look at some work you like and try to emulate the stuff you like, and figure out why you like it! ❤️ it’s truly the most important part of your job! And it doesn’t have to be on any fancy surface. Paper is perfect too 🤩 I know a great (I forgot who LOL) artist once said (don’t quote me aha) it’s so important to get out all the bad lines so that only good lines are left in you! OH also one more huge tip / don’t turn the paper round and round while you work!! It doesn’t help you!!

- Up close & personal 😎 Totally getting the best clients right now. Anytime I meet some of you from Instagram I feel super grateful and humbled!! When I first started Anjali Henna I always had a hard time finding clients I enjoyed working with. Eventually though, you guys found me. Always thankful for that ♥️ and can’t wait to meet more of you guys!! My client and I came up with this jagua-henna design by mixing together a few of my earlier pieces! Thank you Glenda for coming by 💕
