Title: Cloudscrapers - - -
Author: Giancarlo Z. @gicizor
Life is too short to remove USB safely. Minimalism, geometry, architecture. . - - -
AUTHOR'S COMMENT: "I like challenging myself with different genres in photography and (not only becouse I get easily bored) and I have many different projects ongoing (most of them will be never shown on IG). But architecture has always been a subject of interest, mainly because here I can do what I like most: seek unusual point of views, look for details, try to make the subject looking something else, and, recently, play with perspectives.
I was in NYC last year, surrounded by buildings which are probably the most photographed in the world. I wanted to do something different from what I had done on previous trips and from the classical lookups. I spent a fair amount of time in Brooklyn and the Bronx but of course couldn't resist from portraying some of the popular building.
But I wasn't totally happy with the result and these pics were peacefully resting in my hard disk untile @ladile suggested to add the clouds (I had dozens of them, taken in summer 2014, the rainiest ever). Then she put all the pieces together and the "Cloudscrapers" series was born (which I am very proud of). That is to say, most of the credit goes to @ladile, as without her these pics would have never come to light... ". - - - - - -
