I’m not sure if I’ll ever learn how to write a book but thankfully I’ve learned how to revise one. I lost track of how many times I rewrote and revised Legendary, but as you can see it was a lot. Looking back at the early drafts I’m amazed at how completely different the story was. I think in part because I didn’t know what the story was and it took me a while to find it. Once I found the story it took me even longer to get it right. This book was a huge battle. I even sent a draft to my editor, with a very dramatic title page, that said the book was fueled by my blood, sweat, & tears. But last week I turned in a draft that I could have said was fueled by my heart and my love. I’m not sure Legendary is quite right yet, but I love it with my entire heart, and I’m getting so excited to share it with all of you. ❤️ I think it’s tempting to believe that when you’re struggling it means you’re failing, but I think it just means you still need more time to figure it out. And, when it comes to writing, maybe it also means you need to give yourself a little break and have more fun with what you’re doing. 🌹🎩🎪✨📝🏰🎠💖
