- "Scared" - The rain smattered on my umbrella as I walked on my way home. "Should have taken the car" I thought to myself. My shoes drained more and more each step I took. I could hear that sound each time I put down my foot, that splash that made me so happy as a little kid when I jumped up and down inside those puddles. Each of my steps created a calm, relaxing rhytm. Splash, splash, splash. Then I heard something from behind me. A fast splashing like someone was running towards me. I turn around and just in that moment, it stops. When I start walking again I start hearing it again. Is someone following me? I look around, still no one to be seen. Small raindrops splashes up against my heels as I start walking faster. "Don't be afraid okay, it's just the rain" I tell myself. The sound comes closer and closer. Splash, splash, splash. Now I start running. I run so fast I can't even hear my feet splash before the next one comes after. I take my keys up, open the door to the house and once I'm inside, I exhale. No noise, not a single sound. My red umbrella reflects my scared, pale face when I pull it together. Suddenly I see a big, hairy hand coming from behind my back, laying down on my left shoulder. I freeze. Slowly I turn around. Just in that moment the door behind me closes. I don't see who's walking out but I all I wanna know is that person is out there, and not in here with me anymore. Or is he?
