- Flashback! Feeling nostalgic for the Hong Kong kaleidoscope instagram exhibition held exactly a year ago at Dominion Garden, a public space where anyone could freely enjoy it as part of Very Hong Kong Festival. Featuring 117 photos by 58 instagrammers in Hong Kong, showing the many facets of Hong Kong. The photos are beautifully printed on canvas and stretched in gallery wrap style by O-Live Decor. Bamboo displays were constructed by Wing Yick Company, based on my design. It was an amazing experience! #flashback #veryhk_hkiyhkk #hkinstayay #hkig #hk #hongkong #discoverhongkong #instagramexhibition #iphoneographyexhibition

- Our last group photo at HONG KONG kaleidoscope exhibition before it was taken down this Sat, 14 Dec. It was good to see almost all of the participants there! What a timing too as unseasonal rain started to pour down on us as we began to remove the canvas prints from the bamboo grids! The prints are all fine despite being rained on though: a testament of high quality print using Canon water resistant pigment ink by O-LIVE Decor (www.giclee-canvas.com). Thanks everyone who has participated and helped! WE made it! YAY!!! ✌️

- And here is Master Lai with Mr. Choi Chi Ming, the owner of Wing Yick Bamboo Scaffolding Company that Master Lai is working for. You can see the respect, pride and warm feeling Mr. Choi has for his employee. Mr. Choi believes in helping others build safely and correctly. We are very happy with how his company worked out our plans. They strive for best result, and don't easily give up nor give way to second best result. They experimented until they found the best way to build and to secure the canvases as I have envisioned. If any of you in Hong Kong needs some bamboo scaffolding, we'd highly recommend Wing Yick Company! Bravo and big thanks to them!

- This is the Bamboo Scaffolding Master, Mr. Lai Kwok Fong. He is very skillful in constructing the bamboo to follow my designs to display the canvases so precisely as you can see in my previous posts. The resulting constructions are very well done: they are neat, precise and sturdy. What's more: he leads his team with such a happy attitude it was a joy to watch them work. They worked very efficiently too! I am very impressed with their work and feel so lucky to have such skillful workers to help us!

- HK InstaYay is running a fund raising campaign to show 'HONG KONG kaleidoscope' at the Very Hong Kong Festival. http://www.fringebacker.com/en/projects/hong_kong_kaleidoscope/ 'HONG KONG kaleidoscope' is a two-section photo exhibition by HK InstaYay members featuring snapshots of all things Hong Kong taken by an eclectic group with very diverse backgrounds, ages, nationalities and professions - showing the many facets of Hong Kong. A special section by @furkidsinhk shows the parts of Hong Kong that might soon be gone forever. We hope this exhibition could help in cultivating and increasing our appreciation of Hong Kong and its people. Being a totally non-commercial, non-profit, labour-of-love kind of a project, we need as much help as we can get. This fundraising system is all-or-nothing. If we couldn't reach the minimum goal within the set time, we wouldn't receive any funding at all! Every little bit counts. Support in any kind would be greatly appreciated! Remember, every little bit counts: no contribution is too small! Please visit http://www.fringebacker.com/en/projects/hong_kong_kaleidoscope/ Meanwhile, save the date: Saturday, 7 December 2013 at Dominion Garden, Wanchai : The Opening… Party Time!!! #veryhk_hkiyhkk #hkinstayay #veryhongkong #veryhk
