- Stop complaining about what you CAN CONTROL, it does NOTHING. In fact, complaining about something hurts more than you whatever you're complaining about! Also, if you can control the problem, why are you complaining instead of taking an approach or making a solution to the problem? It is understandable if you can complain about something that is out of your hands, like a love one passing away. Overall, do yourself a favor and keep in mind that most of our problems are not impossible and we should take action🔑 ________________________________________________________#fitness#motivation#complain#muscle#actions#dedication#problems#solvethem#health#healthy#love#bodybuild#bodybuilding#bodybuilder#lift#fit#growth#knowledge#learn#teach#life#live#love#perspective

- • For Immediate Release October 17, 2017 Contact: Jai Pierre Raven The Woman’s Earth www.thewomansearth.com 22@thewomansearthstudio.com 832.899.4325 • Self-Love Retreat Redefining the Superwoman • Jai Pierre Raven (@selflovefairydust), founder of The Woman's Earth will host the sold-out Self-Love Retreat: Redefining the Superwoman beginning Friday, November 3, 2017 through Sunday, November 5, 2017 in Galveston, Texas. The purpose of the Retreat is to provide a sacred and safe space for women to come and attend workshops and empowerment sessions to give them the tools to put self-love in action and make a commitment to self-care as a lifestyle change. • The Retreat will be primarily attended by an intergenerational group of black women. Black women’s depression rate is estimated to be 50% higher than white women’s. Within the realm of physical health, black women face particular challenges around diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure. One in 4 black women over the age of 55 have diabetes. Health studies have shown that risk factors, which include a lack of exercise, poor eating habits, and high levels of stress, contribute to the development of these diseases. What’s more, however, is that the stressful challenges that black women face as primary caregivers – mothers and other-mothers – and academics make this a serious issue that we need to unpack. • In light of these statistics, we have to recognize what’s at stake in unpacking the wellness, life balance, and self-care needs of black women. The Self-Love Retreat being held November 3-5 in Galveston, Texas is designed to address these issues through empowerment workshops providing real-life tools our participants can apply and make immediate contributions to their self-care. • The retreat facilitators are Andonnia Shawntavia with Annlettered, Charease Davis with Total Woman, Eliza Boquin with TRSWC of Houston, Latasha Weatherspoon with The Lifted Lifestyle LLC, Patience Collins with A Fruitful Perspective, and Sheridan Labbé with Southern Kouture. The retreat events coordinator is Brittney Lavonne with B Exclusive Events.

- Working at The Asian University for Women, I was a Teaching Assistant for Public Health courses, a Bioethics course, and a tutor in The Writing Center. I was able to get to know some of my incredible and bright students on both an academic and personal level. One thing that was amazing about AUW was watching students make friends all over the region. It was beautiful to walk into the cafeteria and see students from Cambodia, Nepal, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, etc., eating at the table together. Images and experiences I will take with me forever.js
