- Day 35 and today’s workout got me sweating ALL THE SWEAT. . . I’m also super pumped bc on our meal plan for this program we get a few days where we refuel our body’s glycogen levels. . . And today is the day. . . So I will be eating more carbs and more fruits. . . Yup! I know Ive said it before but I’ll say it’s again and again. . . I’m NOT on a DIET. . . I’m learning how to eat food to best fuel my body. . . That’s it. . . #postpartum #day35of80 #gettingmybodyback #23weekspostpartum #lifeofateacher #teacher #momofboys #momof2 #boymom #postpartumfitnessjourney #5monthspostpartum #bootyday

- Despite feeling exhausted and trying to save some energy for work and class this afternoon I've managed to do a steady half hour of abdominal strengthening exercises It's important to keep a strong core and pelvic floor and use your breathing to connect them. This can benefit you after birth and for the rest of your life postnatal I an no longer do full planks as this creates a 'doming' of my abdomen and this can cause diastasis recti (abdominal separation) so you need to avoid this doming or bulging were possible #abworkout #corestrength #pregnancy #pregnancyworkout #prenatal #prenatalworkout #postpartum #postnatal #healthy #fitness #bodychanges #strongwomen #womenshealth #womensfitness

- Dear mom, did you knew that relaxing is sometimes harder than exercising? One of the most often done mistakes is to train too hard. Training too vigorously can leave the pelvic floor muscles permanently tensed. This is harmful because muscles that are constantly tense are not prepared to react to sudden changes, e.g. to sudden loading or need for maximal power. You can relax your pelvic floor area while standing up with the aid of a simple thought experiment: imagine that in a normal position, the pelvic floor area is a lift that has stopped at the first floor. Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe out relax the pelvic floor area to let the lift drop to the ground floor. Try it! 🙏 PS. We have received so many questions whether it's possible still to join in to Safe & Strong online course, that we have added a couple of places there. - {6.5 weeks #postpartum} After 2 months, I’m finally back at the gym. Definitely much weaker than before but I’ve gotta start somewhere. I visited a female health physiotherapist yesterday for an assessment of my diastasis recti (separation of abs) and pelvic floor health. It’s a common misconception that c-section moms do not suffer from weak pelvic floor. I strongly encourage all postnatal ladies to go for an assessment by a certified physiotherapist before embarking on any exercise as improper exercises may exacerbate diastasis recti and weaken the pelvic floor further, resulting in poor posture, form, backaches when lifting baby and going about our daily lives. 💪🏻 . . #postnatalfitness #postpartumfitness

- Just donated almost 1000 oz of my breast milk (liquid gold) today to Mothers Milk Bank who provide the donated human breast milk to hospitals around USA for premature babies and for babies who need mothers milk who’s mothers are unable to provide due to certain reasons. It feels so good and grateful to be able to do so as my own first born was born prematurely before time and I know how beneficial my milk was for him and he is a super healthy 4 yr old now. It’s a satisfying feeling and I have more bags of milk for donation on its way🙏 women’s body is such an amazing miracle of god not only can a women create a new human being also can provide this amazing liquid gold to other babies and give life. If you have over supply of breast milk then donate it to your nearby mothers milk bank. The feeling is so amazing and I feel short of words to express it. Keeping a healthy lifestyle has helped me keep up my milk supply🙏 so proud to be a woman #milkdonation #mothersmilkbank #grateful #mothersmilk #breastfeeding #liquidgold #momblogger #breastfeedingislove #postpartum #motherslove #prematurebaby #mothershelpingmothers #proudtobeawoman

- "Strive for progress, not perfection" . Day 34/80 Core Cardio . A bit late posting this as I've been out this morning with the family ice skating! We had a lovely time, it's nice to have a go after watching Aayla complete her lessons the last few days. It's been many years since I've skated regularly. I used to have lessons myself so Aayla was very keen to try herself which I think is lovely 😊 . Getting back on the ice was almost like I hadn't had such a long break but I still had a bit of work to do to get into the feel of things . Thinking about last nights workout I was amazed at my endurance coping with the intensity of Cardio Core. It is the most knackering but compared to last week there was a marked improvement in my ability to keep pushing, and minimal pausing! I'm glad as last week really felt like week 1 again 🤣
