Last year when we were at Barnes & Noble Christmas shopping, I happened to stumble upon their table full of 365 day desk calendars. Talk about a tough decision🤦🏽‍♀️. I swear, there’s a calendar for who, what, when and however you like to float your boat ⛵️. After much back and forth, I decided to purchase Jen’s cal. The daily tips are BOMB and even have an activity on the back of each day’s success tip...#winning 🙌🏾. Anywho, head to @barnesandnoble to pick you up one...it’s not like the year has passed you by yet. You have 11 more months to be a “Badass”! - Do you have your coffee ready? Or tea? Another #mindfulnesswithmillie. This was the mantra for today ‘I attune myself with the flow of life’ during meditation, with Deepak Chopra & Oprah. It reminded me that I need to center myself. We try to race against time, and then get stress because we are trying to do everything, and guess what; you are only ONE PERSON. I know I do this sometimes where I say I’m going to do this and that and create a 100 to do list, to then end up overwhelmed because I put too much on myself. The truth is we cannot do everything, we are not superwoman (sorry to burst your bubble) and we are not multitaskers and this goes to both men and women. A high percentage of people experience stress and anxiety in this country and that’s because we are constantly on the go, that we don’t stop and sit still for one second. If you saw my #instastory today you will know that this was not a good weekend for me. Stress can cause illnesses, and what I was able to observe is that when I’m overwhelmed my body reacts to it. Lately I been super busy with work which I’m not complaining, I’m so thankful and grateful for the amazing opportunities that have been coming my way, but I have to always put me first. I won’t lie; it is an everyday thing to put yourself first, refocus, and prioritize. This is why I absolutely love meditation because it allows me to be present and just flow. And I have to be honest with you when I don’t meditate for a week which it happened last week because I got so busy, I felt out of place, irritated and just all over the place, only because I didn’t put me first. Thank God I knew what was wrong, and decided to reorganize myself and schedule to make time for me every single day.

What’s the best course of action to take? Which path most easily leads to the feeling of peace inside, despite the triggers of every day life? How can we quiet the inner critic for five minutes? We’ve all heard that voice of self doubt. Now it’s time to clear it out. Lose what needs to be lost. Like the words you keep using that turn in to the reality you aren’t wanting. Instead of speaking and focusing on what you don’t want to be happening, take one step forward in to a better state of being within meditation. For your future self’s sake, stop telling yourself that you can’t meditate, and come TRY IT. Maybe it’s the solution to everything, this reentering into the soul space of intuition. Tonight we have two gems beautiful for beginners. Like a flight of drinks or an appetizer sampler platter, but for your SOUL. At 7:15pm we have Meditation for Beginners with the kind heart that is Chris Savell, where he will guide you through three different kinds of meditation so you can see what best suits you, in the safety of a group. No experience necessary; many in this class are first timers too. Right after that he will lead a sound bath to clear your cells of stress and trapped turmoil on every level. You’ll leave feeling refreshed and centered in intuitive cleanliness, ready for a restful night and bright new tomorrow. We’d love to have you.
