- "Feeding behavior"
While the current are strong, this tiny barnacle is protruding its "cirri", a six pair of feathery limbs that they are used to catch any passing planktons from the water, and moving it toeard their mouth by curling this arm. This organ is also the reason why these animals are referred as "cirripedia" on their scientific classification, derived from the Latin words meaning "curl-footed". While finding this animal between the coral polyps is already difficult, capturing them on a photograph is even more challenging, as we have to wait for the perfect moment when this animal retract its arm while stabilize ourselves so we don't make a sudden move and scare this tiny critter.
