- I've got an eclectic batch of titles for this week's media pickup post. Logan Lucky (2017) - If you've listened to episode 117 of the Cinefessions Podcast, this film was in my top 5 film discoveries of the year. Think of it as a redneck Ocean Eleven styled heist movie with more of an emphasis on character development and humour. I loved this film. It's a damn shame that it was shunned at the cinema. Rough Night (2017) - I was really excited to see this after watching the trailer and I'm disappointed to announce that Rough Night is a big fat turd. All those funny moments in the trailer are all of the funny moments in the film. Kate McKinnon steals the show yet again but it's not enough to save it. I like Jillian Bell a lot, she was great in Fist Fight and she does have some great bits but just watch the trailer, they're all there. Full Eclipse (1993) - This was an original HBO film, first airing in November 1993. I got wind of the film surfing the Direct TV guide one night and reading the film's synopsis. Elite group of cops are efficient in eliminating the criminal element in cities that are in. Mario Van Peeble's character gets an offer to join the group. He discovers why they're so good. They get a drug that turns them into hybrid werewolves. FUCK YES! Plus we get the beautiful Patsy Kenst and the fantastic Bruce Payne. This film is full of win. The Walking Dead S7 - I'm four seasons behind. I need to catch up. Wolf Warrior 2 (2017) - I saw a trailer for this before a screening at The Mayfair and it looked like lots of fun. I missed the showings but I was able to get the film for cheap on Amazon. Chinese action film with car chases, wicked looking fight scenes and also starring Frank Grillo playing a character called Big Daddy. Thumbs up from me!

- During our drive from Miami Beach to Gainesville today, we saw the temperature slowly drop from 70 degrees to 35 degrees. As you may (or may not 😅) know as a Miami boy anything below 70 is extremely undesirable. We were taking to a friend and I mentioned how I “wasn’t having a good time,” and Liz corrected me - I actually was enjoying myself (being in a car, that we own, with my beautiful wife, eating awesome food, watching a gorgeous sunset, laughing, snuggling, and talking about our dreams and future). So I corrected myself to “I am having a great time but it is way too cold.” Anyway, that was a long story to get to the point I ended up thinking about - how often in our lives, in this miracle that we call existence, this ecstatic bliss known as consciousness, this gem of a moment in the infinity that is time, do we let one or two things ruin our day or consume our minds. How often do we label an uncomfortable situation as bad, or overlook all the good that is taking place all around us? In this moment, what are you grateful for? 👇👇👇 Shift your perspective, change your life ❤️ . . . This photo is fitting for today as we are still feeling the energy from the super moon spilling over. It was taken at the last full lunar eclipse (95%), by the talented @cannonmcnair - wearing all @aloyoga
