- 👊🏼3 WAYS TO CRUSH CRAVINGS👊🏼 ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ 1) EAT LOW-CAL/SUGAR-FREE SNACKS If I feel like I need something sweet after a meal or if I just feel kinda hungry but don't want to waste calories, I'll often go for snacks like sugar-free jell-o's or sugarfree popsicles. They're usually under 20 calories a serving and can fill you up just enough to getchyou to your next meal. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ 2) DRINK WATER You've probably heard this one before, but drinking water really is essential for overall health. The CDC recommends drinking 3.7 liters a day (15 cups) for men and 2.7 liters a day (11 cups) for women (trust me I just googled it). Drink your water throughout the day and it'll fill your stomach more than you'd expect, thus making you feel less hungry. Magical! ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ 3) CHEW SUGAR-FREE GUM I do this one a lot, and those two Extra flavors in the picture are my favorites. Although of course mentally we can associate it with the wrong thing 🤔 I’m sick AF yet all I’ve felt like has been fries, halloumi & chocolate 🤣🍟🍫WTF! BUT this makes 100% sense, because my body is in need of SALT & SUGAR. Therefore my HEAD goes for what it thinks my body means when it screams “salts” and “sugar” 🤗 Similarly when we crave treats it can be because we are sad / lonely / stressed & our nervous system wants a dopamine or serotonin hit 😓 The craving is correct ✅ only the our perception of the craving is misguided, and is instead based on what we know to be an easy / quick way to get that need met 😝 whereas we would actually be better served by connection / sleep / a hug / intimacy etc. Your body knows what it needs to heal, it’s just a case of aligning our understanding & mind and body connection 😌 This is one of my favourite topics to coach clients on in the Healthstyle Emporium because it’s so challenging for all of us. So much so that we did an entire webinar based around Understanding Cravings! Time to rewatch me thinks 😜

- Anyone else STARVING ‼️ I seem to breeze through my day easily maintaining a clean nutritious filled diet... then night comes along and I become a raging 😤 lunatic who wants to eat anything and everything in sight. I’ve always had this evening issue and this diagram helped put things into perspective for me... and made me realize that I need to include way more veggies in my diet then I have been if I want to feel that full feeling and finally rid myself of those late night cravings. #foodieissues #hungrygirl #veggieshelp #nutritionfirst #whatareueating #balanceddiet #fitnessnutrition #cravings #fitnessgoals #myjourney
