Drea was diagnosed with MS a couple of years ago, but based on the way she trains you would never know it. Much of our strength training program consists of integrating weights with reaction timing, agility, balance, and core stability. Everything is done with the intention of improving her neuromuscular performance and proprioceptive awareness. - En mai 2016, j’ai appris que j’allais devenir maman. MAMAN …. Wowww Un rêve! Mon plan m’entrainer pour 2, faire des choix équilibrés, et croire que c’est possible de rester active durant une grossesse. Mission relativement accompli sauf que je me retenais souvent dans mes entrainements pour en donner plus, puisque je recevais beaucoup de commentaires de faire attention. J’avais peur de m’écouter puisque je ne connaissais pas les limites de mon nouveau corps. Ce corps qui portait la vie si fièrement. Je sais que j’aurais pu réaliser plusieurs programmes mais j’ai fait le choix de me mettre des barrières. Mes 9 mois de grossesse, m’ont permit de m’aimer. Ouiiii de vraiment m’aimer. Porter et créer la vie est pour moi magique et je me suis sentie m’épanouir énormément durant tous ces mois. J’ai vécu chaque jour en prenant soin de moi. Et pour vraiiii, c’était assez facile de faire des choix sensés pour Mathéo et moi. Le faire pour 2 a été mon WHY. Offrir à mon garçon le meilleur que j’étais capable pour moi, ça m’a donné tellement une énergie spéciale au quotidien. Et non, je n’étais pas parfaite à suivre toutes les recommandations et manger parfaitement. Le chocolat, la crème glacée, les excès' et les lattés ont fait ma rencontre à plusieurs reprises. J’ai aussi prit plusieurs pauses d’entrainement mais je dois dire que je me suis surprise dans ma constance de ne pas m'abandonner. J'ai prit quand même près de 50 livres, donc la remise en forme post-partum n'est pas évidente! Aujourd’hui, je suis à 6 mois post-partum. Mon parcours depuis la naissance de Mathéo est rempli d’adaptation, de craintes, de questionnements, de difficultés alimentaires. Par contre, je continue vers mon chemin d’un mode de vie équilibré et surtout un mode de vie qui est un exemple pour mon fils que bouger et prendre soin de soi fait parti de la routine. Quand je m’entraine, je le fais avec plaisir. M’habiller de mon sourire est primordiale pour réussir mes entrainements. Lorsque l’humeur n’y est vraiment pas, je choisi de prendre soin de moi de d’autres façons (Vive Netflix). #postpartumbody #momlifeisthebestlife #momactive #workoutathome
