- Nuit de merde, c’est chiant les béquilles quand tu dois te lever la nuit. . Crise d’asthme cette nuit alors il faut se lever allé chercher les puffs, en béquille on va moins vite. . Ce matin j’ai mal à la cheville, je ne comprend pas pourquoi, hier je n’ai pas eu mal sauf vraiment à l’endroit où c’est gonflé et quand j’essaie de la bouger. . - Attempted to wake up early today to get my life back on track, and ended up waking up at 11. Oops 🤷🏼‍♀️ I also planned to do a morning workout and that somehow turned into a night workout with me finishing at 10:30pm after being in the gym for almost 2 hours. I don’t think you need to be at the gym that long but sometimes I don’t mind it 😌 It’s been awhile since I’ve stayed that long, mostly because I always cheat myself - I decide to do one less set, or less reps, sometimes I even take off an entire exercise (or more) that I originally planned to do 😶 Something I’d like to work on this year is doing what I say I’m going to do. It doesn’t matter if it’s in the gym or some other part of my life - if I tell myself or someone I’m going to do something, I want to be the type of person that follows through. I’m usually better at keeping my word when other people are involved but when it comes to myself, I often take the easy route. And I’ve come to realize that the easy route often equals average (or below average) results. • • • •

- 10 year difference 😭💀 ▪️▪️▪️ 2008 - Before PCOS started wreaking havoc on my body. Believe it or not, I did not fall victim of the freshman 15...in fact, I had lost 15lbs my freshman year of college because I was broke 😂. I was also pretty weak. I had never set foot in a gym. My only exercise was walking to class 🙁. ▪️▪️▪️ Fast forward to 2018 - Quite some difference. PCOS did it’s damage and caused rapid weight gain. But I’m also strong. The average woman has very little upper body strength, but because of PCOS, I can build muscle a lot more easily. Hence, I can somewhat curl 30lbs. Somewhat being the keyword because my form makes me cringe. ▪️▪️▪️ Most of the time we show off transformations that reflect how we’ve improved aesthetically. But I’m happy that I can lift weights. I’m happy that I’ve built up a whole lot more strength. Yes, I’m still working on myself daily, but I’m at peace with my journey. And transformation is not all about getting skinny lol.
