- Another classic example of my motto “scales are for 🐟🐠🐟🐠” 4 weeks into her 2018 prep today and I thought I’d go into the archives to show @amyy_lynn.x how much muscle she has developed, while losing fat and reshaping her body with the 10 essentials every bodybuilder needs in their lives. 1. Eat food. Cook REAL FOOD... complete whole proteins, complex carbs and healthy fats. The right portions at the right times. 2. Train HARD... making a mind muscle connection is what most people need to work on most... 3. Bring up your “weak parts” to achieve a symmetrical physique. 4. Whole foods pre workout. Period. 5. Get your bcaas in while you train and fast absorbing protein/simple carb during or after. intra and post workout is key. That’s right... take some damn SUPPLEMENTS. 6. Rest and recovery... it’s part of every smart plan. 7. Don’t over cardio... for the most part, keep it in the toolbox and bring it out in a smart way. 8. Evaluate if doing ab work is beneficial to your frame... and if your thick in the middle, make sure your coach can address it and help you create a smaller (even if it’s just an illusion) waist. 9. Work with someone that doesn’t just know how to coach you specifically... but also someone who knows how to keep you motivated too. Every client has a different personality, life and needs. We coaches need to fill those needs and unlock a clients true potential that no cookie cutter plan can do. Help clients make their weaknesses their strengths! 10. As important as coaching is... do NOT DEPEND on anyone to get your shit done for you... it’s up to you to put the work in the kitchen AND the gym! Amazing efforts by my beautiful Amy Rasmussen ... give this girl some likes guys... 5 lbs of lean growth in 2 years is no easy task for any natural athlete!!! So proud of you Amy!! ❤️
