- ~ When a child in learning how to walk and falls 50 times... they never think "well screw it, maybe this isn't for me" ~ We should all take a step back and take a few lessons from our kids. In their first year, most learn how to smile, sit up, crawl, walk and talk. They are FEARLESS. They do not GIVE UP. They get back up and they try again. When Avery was learning to walk, she didn't just say "well F that, I guess I will just sit on my arse the rest of my life!" No! She got back up, time and time again, fall, get back up, fall and try again. And she did it! At 14 months she got it. Not perfect of course, but she did it. . In life, it will never be a matter IF you fall, it will be WHEN you fall do you give up and quit or DO YOU GET BACK UP? We can learn a good lesson from our younger selves. The child inside us that didn’t know the meaning of defeat, that wasn’t weighed down by societies opinions and all the self-doubt. Things don’t always come easy. We fall down and try again and you KEEP trying because the only time you truly fail is when you quit. . I struggled for a year and a half to get sober. Sober for 3 days, 30 days, 34 days... then relapse. I didn't quit. I sobered up, got my butt to a meeting, and tried again. #24hours That's all we have. . Everyday is a chance to turn it all around. So take a look at your kids, nieces or any kid for that matter, and let's take a "little" lesson from them on courage, persistence and fearlessness. Thanks Avery & Landon for reminding me to #nevergiveup, get back up and try again. Tomorrow is a new day, a new week, and it could be a new life for you if you give it a shot. I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to SEE the physical changes that are happening with my body. I see my shoulders and I'm like "damn gurl!" I see lil' biceps forming, my mom pooch getting toned and it just reassures me of all the hard work (#30minworkouts) that me and my team have been putting in. We are at the end of our 21 day group and I CANNOT WAIT to see the results come in! We got fit during the holidays, did you?😉 . I wasn’t going to magically wish myself in shape, I made a choice. It’s my CHOICE to workout, it’s my CHOICE to eat healthy more often than not, it’s my CHOICE to practice self-care. My body, my mind, my health and my life are a reflection of MY CHOICES. I didn’t always hit the gym or workout from the comfort of my own home as my kiddos ate breakfast with daddy upstairs (he came home last night! 🙌) . When I got pregnant, I stopped working out and let my diet go to sh*t. I gained 60 lbs with each kid. It took WORK to get off that weight, but it& #39;s POSSIBLE. - ~❤️ TOUGH LOVE ❤️~ Spend some time today thinking about and journaling about the grandest version of yourself. Then ask yourself if you want to spend this one and only life, eating like crap, not caring for your body, then having your kid wonder why you're so sick and need shots and pills later in life- because you couldn't love yourself enough to self care. It sounds horrific put that way right?! But, that's just the truth of it. #toughlove (And I was in your shoes too!) . You'll either do it and FIND that motivation comes after you have started or you'll succumb to disease and have that scare the crap out of you and that will be your rock bottom. . BIG CHANGES don't come from big action. Big change comes from doing ONE SMALL THING differently than you did the day before. It comes from deciding to get up and get ONE thing done today that you've been promising yourself you'll do for months, years, your whole life #newyearnewyougroup . - ~ LACK OF SLEEP/ENERGY 😴 ~ Low sleep/energy hurts all aspects of our lives. We feel less happy, lose our confidence, eat crap, increase the waistline, feel f'ing terrible. That's why those first couple months, even whole year, of parenting is SO TOUGH! We all lack SLEEP! I never really appreciated it until I became a parent, and it was the ONLY thing I wanted, I needed, I prayed late at night during a feeding for. Just ONE MORE HOUR. PLEASE! . I know when I am low on sleep, I am cranky, irritable and am more tempted to cave to unhealthy temptations and #quickfixes. That's why it's so important to cut myself off at night and hit the sheets so I am setting myself up for success the next day 🌟. I stick to the same sleep/wake schedule even as I am unemployed, and even on the weekends. It seriously helps! . So call it a day tonight or tomorrow night. Go to bed 50 min earlier than you normally would and let me know how you feel in the morning. . If you are having trouble INCREASING your energy, or just simply want more of it (hello moms! - ~ Instapot Chicken and Cauliflower Rice Soup 🍲 ~ On the list for this week as I plan out and meal prep with my group! Chicken soup is always so full of sodium and half the time you aren’t even sure if it’s real chicken in there. I can't tell you the number of times I stocked up on those Progresso "Light" Chicken Noodle Soups! And I thought I was eating healthy 😂! So homemade is where it's at ✌️ RECIPE: 🔹4 boneless and skinless chicken breast 🔹2 boxes low sodium chicken stock. 🔹Chopped carrots, celery, onion, peppers, spinach, broccoli (as much as you want is ok) 🔹Then turn on the instapot to the medium soup setting and let it do its job!! Set and forget! That's why I ❤️ it! . After the timer goes off, shred the chicken. Microwave the diced cauliflower and put in the bottom of the bowl and pour soup over top. Salt and pepper to taste 😋😋 . Do you have an #instapot? So worth the investment!

When I was sick in my addiction, I talked and talked and talked about getting sober, that TODAY would be it, my classic #lastday as we all say 😂 Same with food, exercise and getting back on track: 🔹I'll start fresh TOMORROW, after I eat this ginormous piece of cake🍰 🔹Next year it is 🔹There is just too much going on right now to take care of myself 🔹It's too expensive The thing is, you have to TAKE ACTION and #walkthetalk as we all hear so often. It's so true! I couldn't just TALK myself sober! I had to take action, follow the #twelvesteps, go to meetings, get a sponsor, and work HARD. It's actually a pretty simple program, but it's not easy to do. Same with my online fitness Challenge Groups. It's a simple program (eat clean, workout for 30 min, drink a superfoods shake and share in a great group of women), but it's not EASY. If it were easy, then everyone would be perfect, have no problems and there wouldn't be ME here trying to help YOU! . I don't have to tell anyone that I'm an alcoholic or a coach/mentor anymore, my ACTIONS show it. I go to meetings, I meet with my sponsor, I work out, I hold fitness accountability groups, I eat clean, etc. I. SHOW. UP. . How are you showing up?
