- We are the music makers, And we are the dreamers of dreams, Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams;—World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams: Yet we are the movers and shakers Of the world for ever, it seems. -Arthur O'Shaughnessy Perhaps it is not the grandest poem but yet it came to mind tonight after a really hard week in the world. For beauty can heal, as can kindness and empathy. Let's keep finding our way together. There is no us or them...in the sense that, like it or no, we are all connected.

- On the blog, looking at where I am and have been over this tumultuous past year in a post-birthday lockdown. Finally, what is the word that remains to describe it all? It is a positive one but you will need to follow the link in my profile to see... Ps. I just want to also say how incredibly grateful I am for the community here. Your support means more than you can imagine and I am delighted by the fascinating people who I am finding/who find me each day. Please keep speaking up! We are needed right now...Namaste...

- On my walk with Kipling tonight, he pulled me around a tree that we pass by everyday. But, because of the strange angle, I nearly fell over some stones half buried in the grass. On quite a few of them, someone...and oh how I wonder who...had written in white ink a scatter of words such as "petite amour" (little love) in a loopy, adolescent hand. What dreams we have, whether or not we pursue or abandon them. How I wish that I could gather these up to whoever had created them, if only to say, "Hold on. It will happen. You will see."

- I am crazy for the authenticity found at the boutique Dou Bochi in Arles. Founded by @antoinerambourg and @eric_bergere (whose kaftans have become - so quickly! - the item to wear this summer), it is a great source for decoration and inspiration. And to top it off, it is the only place in my little town where the creations of @ateliervime can be found. It makes me so happy to see Arles growing enough to include such addresses, all while keeping true to its spirit and history...
