The craze might seem fairly new, but it’s based on one of the oldest diets out there: the caveman diet🍗 . 🙋I’ve eaten Paleo as one strategy to keep my diet simple. It also helped me stay consistent with my happy weight. Once you get the hang of it and learn the foods you can and can’t eat, the Paleo diet is so easy to follow. I always use my tasty spices to flavor the food which makes the “diet” part much more enjoyable.👅 . 🤗I decided to make a one-week Paleo meal plan for you (for FREE!) in addition to my vegetarian and vegan plans. If you eat meat, it can be beneficial to explore the Paleo approach as well throughout your weight loss journey. - 🙋Hey Y'all! Some of you are new here so I wanted to take an opportunity to say Hi and tell you how honored I am that you follow me on my "masala body" journey. So here are a few things about me that I would love for you to know ☺️ . 😋My favorite food growing up was poori (fried bread) with curried potatoes that my mom would make. . 🍹My favorite cocktail is called “Ruby Love ❤️ “ with vodka, club soda, POM, chopped serranos and mint and I created it myself to be low sugar + yummy + spicy 🌶 . 🥂Brunch without a mimosa to me just doesn’t happen . 😴I recently started going to sleep earlier and waking up 2 hours before everyone else in my house and it’s my favorite “me” time each day (and having 7-8 hours sleep 😴 also keeps my sugar cravings down so this is a must-have) . 😛I organize my spices by where I use them - so cinnamon by the coffee maker, spicy/savory spices by my stove, baking spices in my baking area . . 🤗Now , I would love to know more about you too, tell me a few things that define YOU 😘 . . . #mondayvibe #masalabody #spiceyourselfskinny #knowmewell

I was in NYC for work and was running from one meeting to another, my lunch was by now forgotten somewhere deep in my tummy 😒It was starting to rumble and I could sense myself changing from Nagina to "hangry"na! 😀➡️👹 . . 😏But if these last 6 years have taught me one thing, it is to listen to my BODY!! You will gain weight!" 😬Errrr....Not really! Snacking is actually essential for you if done the right way. Unless you eat so much that you cannot even move (I do not recommend!), chances are you will get hungry within 2-3 hours of eating your meal. Its very important to eat when you're hungry. Choose healthy snacks over processed snacks. Nuts over chips, fruits over sugary snacks.🙌 . 💥DON'T SNACK AT NIGHT - While its is true that eating starchy and heavy foods at night can lead to weight gain, but snacking at night is not necessarily bad. If you have a rumbling tummy before bed time, then do reach for a light filling snack. Apple with almond/peanut butter, berries with Greek Yogurt or a light smoothie are all good options.👍 . 💥SNACK SIZE GOODIES ARE HEALTHY - Seen those tiny bags of 100 calorie chips , pretzels and chocolate covered nuts in your supermarket aisle? 🤔They usually advertise as "portion controlled low calorie" snacks. Its true that they are tiny in portion and very convenient to just grab and go but they are still packed with little to no nutrition and lots of junk! Most of these are processed snacks. My advice, if you are going to eat a 100 calorie snack, it might as well be something thats good for your body. When we make our weekend plans its usually at a restaurant or at a bar. Have you ever thought about having a cooking party with your girlfriends or your spouse/partner? 🙌🤗Cooking together can be so much fun! When everyone pitches in, it doesn't feel like a chore and can be a real bonding experience!👍 . . 👏🏻Plus you can have a complete control over what you cook/eat and it costs a lot less and you don't have to deal with getting a cab, finding parking etc. I highly recommend doing this once in a while. So I need meals that can be made quickly yet are delicious and healthy! 😋 . . ✔️Tilapia cooks in 6 minutes and you can add any spices to it. We are naturally drawn to unhealthy and junk foods which sabotage our plans.👎 . . 😾Whenever you start a new healthy eating plan or an exercise regime, we start with a lot of motivation . We buy all the groceries or workout gear, tell all our friends about it. Basically we start with a big BANG! For most of us though after the first few days, the initial excitement and newness dies and everyday we are less motivated than the day before. Before long , we GIVE UP!😔 . . ✋️Let me tell you that this is absolutely normal and happens to everyone! But I am going to show you a way to keep that motivation going. This is something many women I have coached used and it's helped them stay on track of their weight loss journey! And its called the "POWER OF YOUR WHY"💪 . . ⁉️❓Why do you want to lose weight? Why do you want to start eating healthy? WHAT IS YOUR WHY? Is it that you want to be able to fit into a dress? You want to be more healthy and get a clean pass from your doctor?You want to be more active so that you can play with your kids? You want to look good in front of a mirror or be sexy around your partner/spouse? . . 🙏Whatever your WHY is write it down and share here! My WHY was to have more energy to play with my kids and not feel tired and exhausted all the time.
