garmenthouse - garmenthouse @amymees @ericaknits thank you! I had a really hard time carrying the blue in the white without it showing through, so I was considering exactly that, Erica! But of course, as soon as I ripped the needles out to start pulling, I kind of reconsidered.
thecraighensel - Craig Hensel #whpthegreatindoors
thecraighensel - Craig Hensel Tag that sista!
amymees - amymees navy & white is so classic and it doesn't look like an after thought at all. and running out and using what you have is wonderfully reminiscent of sweaters from our past.
ericaknits - ericaknits Oh darn! I've been there. Good luck!
channylavie - Chantelle La Violette 😍 it's beautiful!
sonyaphilip - sonyaphilip I LOVE the yoke something fierce. Maybe three rows of blue and white stranding and then transition to solid white?

garmenthouse - garmenthouse @missingfillmore I have raised many an eyebrow to my dad's concoctions, but this was so good. My dad might be a food genius. I agree though, it weirded me out the first time I saw him throw it together.
garmenthouse - garmenthouse @emmafolds yes - pecan and ginger.
garmenthouse - garmenthouse @ruthielynn5 oh, I added some of that too, just to taste. 😂
garmenthouse - garmenthouse @eurebliss it was great!
wikstenmade - wikstenmade That sounds soooooo gross! 🙀 But your homemade ginger granola is the best I've ever had. I NEED the recipe!
smallandlocal - Amy Swinn Recipe please!! This looks beautiful!!!
msdapore - msdapore Where can one find the recipe?
ctblack4 - Cheryl Black Awww...it smells delicious! Recipe, please!
garmenthouse - garmenthouse @smallandlocal @msdapore @ctblack4 it's a combination of a couple recipes (a Pinterest recipe I found a while back and a Julia Child recipe), as well as some good old fashioned trial and error. I let my bread machine do the mixing, knead it a little, split it into two smaller loaves, and bake it in the oven. Here's the recipe: 1 Cup + 1 Tbsp Room Temp Water (enough to make dough smooth and soft, not lumpy), 2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil, 3 Tbsp Honey, 3 Tbsp Powdered Buttermilk, 1 1/2 Tsp Table Salt, 3 Cups AP Flour, 1 Packet (or 2 1/2 Tsp) of Instant (Not Rapid-Rise) Yeast. Mix in bread machine, then put in a buttered loaf pan or split dough and put in two buttered smaller pans. Let rise at room temp to 2x volume (20 mins to an hour). Preheat oven to 350. Bake for 20 minutes, take out of pan, then bake on rack for 10-15 minutes more, or until internal temp reaches 190-200 degrees.
garmenthouse - garmenthouse @ctblack4 if little man cooperates tomorrow, I was thinking I'd make some for tomorrow to bring along on our picnic! What do you think?
smallandlocal - Amy Swinn @garmenthouse Thanks!! Can't wait to try it
msdapore - msdapore Thank you!!!
ericaknits - ericaknits Cute! I knit like crazy in the summer.
garmenthouse - garmenthouse @ginger84sa @marianne_sw that's so nice to hear! I never completely planned on dropping both flickr and my blog, but we've really had to roll with it since bebe was born! It's made me slow down a little in a good way and enjoy the moments that go too fast.
garmenthouse - garmenthouse @vmarcoux I adjusted the gauge on this pattern just to use up this yarn I've had for years! I'm loving it! Knitting at the beach sounds wonderful! Christmas presents?
garmenthouse - garmenthouse Haha @bispeterson I remember that sweater!!! Your tension is beautiful. It's amazing that you can knit so well and don't. I mean, not like you have extra time or something, and who needs to when we have the Judester in our lives!
garmenthouse - garmenthouse @wild_haven my thoughts exactly! I never know if I'm knitting late or really early, and that works for me!
garmenthouse - garmenthouse @ericaknits maybe it's because of travel and vacation, but me too! It keeps me pretty calm. I don't even mind the wool on my lap... Most of the time.
vmarcoux - m a r c o u x Some presents, some for me! Can't wait to see your finished pullover!
kristintidd - Kristin enjoy it! I find summer with the age difference very tiring too - without the medical stuff. yay to you out & about.
jenah.marie - jenah.marie @garmenthouse You know it! And bahhhh, I know. I forgot. It's cute.
garmenthouse - garmenthouse @hellojuliaelise hi friend! We are having such a great summer, but it's going way too fast! How about yours?
garmenthouse - garmenthouse @kristintidd I'm so glad you said that! It's so hard to keep up with the big kid schedule that's been in place for years, and set the new baby schedule at the same time. Let's just say I'm amazed at how flexible he is!!! And hallelujah for good health!!! I never thought I'd be doing stuff like this this summer!
garmenthouse - garmenthouse @jenah.marie I'm excited to see if it's the same one I was thinking was amazing! I wouldn't be surprised if it is.
kristintidd - Kristin @garmenthouse some days I feel split in two parenting such different ages at the same time. However trying some days might be, its worth every ounce to see the special bond between the two develop. M is such a light in our family & I know O will be just the same.
clairedollan - claire love to see those chubby feet
hello_lindello - kate I honestly don't know if we will try again. I go back and forth a lot. my heart melts when I see Helen being lovey with a baby but I also really like having just her. I guess time will tell!
