- Tomorrow, Saturday, @rcubedlifestyle is hosting a delightful Holiday Boutique, Open 9-5...I’ll have a few pieces available to help honor the Holiday time. This peace wreath will be there and is everything we at Covered Bridge Studio want for you right now. Peace. Peace. And, more peace. There are even hyacinth bean seeds in this one...as they fade and die, the seeds remain, to be planted and take root. Let’s all plant more vines this spring, ok? Also, when peace is hard to find may we suggest a visit to #vicsicecream to make all things well...shop and get your scoop across the way tomorrow🙏❤️ #landpark

- In my catholic tradition the high holiday rituals often involve incense at the beginning, middle and end of the ritual...it has always been a mysterious, not entirely comfortable part of the liturgy. It is hard to breathe through the thick scent and smoke. Today on my work travels on the periphery of the fires upped my own anxiety and impossible stretch to comprehend the losses and traumas SO many are navigating right now...I can offer my act of breathing as a small prayer of presence. Prayerful action is/will be needed. To those fighting or fleeing or fearing fires - we are with you in this air thick with ash and memories and earth. May all be safe. And, may we mind our neighbors and our lands with reverence and care in the days, months, years and generations to come. This image from Grace Cathedral a while back. Cala Lilies stitched into the kneeler. “Give me a hand full of Lillies to scatter...”

- “Hey now, stay with me.” This is the line I sometimes hear in my mind when the big, terrible grey waves of depression, anxiety and grief swells come real close and high to my shore. What a time, what a day we’ve all had. 😞”Hey now, stay with me.” Who or what is extending this invitation to you right now. Turn toward that soft gaze. It’s the easy place of rest and real work. Listen for the joyful noise. And, it’s not the fearful waves of overwhelm. It might not be easy work, but it is your work so you’re up for it. The sick dog. The child up with a cough. The AA meeting. The aging inlaw’s grocery list. The clearing of the garden beds. The church pew. The board room pitch. The thesis defense. The lobbyist dinner. The flower order. What’s your “hey now.:” Start close in. And, stay with us. Been listening to @gillianwelchofficial tonight - her song “Hard Times” on repeat ... find it. And, play it. Keep going. #hardtimesaintgonnarulemymind #we’regonnamakeit
