It was Love at first Sweat!! and is currently a true passion of mine... So let me elaborate on why I think everyone; any color, shape, size or form could use and adopt the practice of Yoga into their lives (even if it's for an hour a week) It's more than just burning some calories!! And while it's super cool and satisfying to finally be able to hold a certain pose- Yoga practice is definitely beyond that! It teaches you the Importance of the single most important essence of living- BREATHING.. I think Breathing and movement are the 2 fundamental things to life! ✨✨ Breathing is living... When you breathe right, you're comfortable... When you breathe right, you're in control of your emotions... (do you realize when you're calm your breathing is steady, but when you're angry or worried-it's out of control?) When you breathe right, you're able to move better.... 🌬🌬 It's the only measurable factor connecting your mind to your body! How many of you can easily take a full deep breath to your lung's fullest capacity? Or do we all take breathing for granted, as something that is there, involuntary and is functioning even without your full awareness? And let's be honest, the ability to move will determine the quality and longevity of your life! When you start to train your breathing, you become better at controlling your mind AND your body - and THAT my friends, is the fundamental teachings of Yoga. It teaches you to be comfortable in an uncomfortable situation.... and I think that's a skill everyone should have! It teaches acceptance, tolerance and persistence for self love and improvement.... It's a way of life that I have adopted, because it's a journey of your-Self, for yourself... without any rules or boundaries, prejudices or judgements.... The past 8 months of my Yoga practice has revealed and taught me more about myself than ever before..So this is by no means a declaration of how I've mastered the art.. it's only my beginning, but wat I've gained is Awareness!
