- #MeshIsReviewing: When Dimple Met Rishi By Sandhya Menon (Finished reading on September 13) ••• Goodreads' synopsis: " Dimple Shah has it all figured out. With graduation behind her, she’s more than ready for a break from her family, from Mamma’s inexplicable obsession with her finding the “Ideal Indian Husband.” Ugh. Dimple knows they must respect her principles on some level, though. If they truly believed she needed a husband right now, they wouldn’t have paid for her to attend a summer program for aspiring web developers…right? Rishi Patel is a hopeless romantic. So when his parents tell him that his future wife will be attending the same summer program as him—wherein he’ll have to woo her—he’s totally on board. Because as silly as it sounds to most people in his life, Rishi wants to be arranged, believes in the power of tradition, stability, and being a part of something much bigger than himself. The Shahs and Patels didn’t mean to start turning the wheels on this “suggested arrangement” so early in their children’s lives, but when they noticed them both gravitate toward the same summer program, they figured, Why not? Dimple and Rishi may think they have each other figured out. But when opposites clash, love works hard to prove itself in the most unexpected ways." • Review: i started this book with high expectations of course, yes because everybody has read it and i just felt the need to, and no i didn't get it because of that! I genuinely liked the idea of reading a book with diverse characters 🤗👍, okay so the book started with Dimple's side which made me learn about her character. I myself found that Rishi's character at the beginning was a LITTLE naive 😯 but he grew on to me throughout the book. 👍 Also i don't know if it's just me but, i found that the element of coincidence was a little too much for me?! (The oh they coincidently meet at a certain place? And so on!) But this didn't kill this book, the humor is just amazing and the characters felt just real 😭♥ • Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟/5 ••• #whendimplemetrishi

- 1.5/5 when dimple met rishi by sandhya menon ✖ i tried so hard not to dnf this book. i assure you - it's so damn hard. i'm gonna straight up say it. this is my worst read for 2017 so far. what makes it far more disappointing is that i myself hyped this book early this year, back when i was still book blogging. i can't believe that my most anticipated book of the year is just t-r-a-s-h. #sorrynotsorry p.s. i gave it 1 point for indian representation and 0.5 for the cute book cover. ✖ #whendimplemetrishi #sandhyamenon #read #reading #books #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagramfeature #booknookstagram #booksofinstagram #igbooks #bookphoto #booknerdigans #bookworm #epicreads #booknerd #bookphotography #bookish #booklove #booklover #bookaddict #bookaholic #bookgirl #bibliophile #book #bookishfeatures #becauseofreading #totalbooknerd

- When Dimple Met Rishi, Sandhya Menon: This was on my TBR for toooo long. So glad I finally read it! This story of two Indian American teenagers explores issues of family, coming of age, and identity which anyone should find highly relatable, plus it's a really fun YA romance. Before I started reading it, I didn't know that the main characters were 18, so the book had more mature themes and issues than I was expecting, which was a pleasant surprise. And I have seen lots of pictures of this cute front cover on social media, but when I got the book in hand I was surprised to see the funny back cover. Swipe left to get a preview of what happened when Dimple met Rishi. . . . . . Heat level: 🔥I don't want to give spoilers! . . . . #whendimplemetrishi #sandhyamenon #romancenovel #instabook #bookstagram #booksandcoffee #romancebooks #books #bookish #igreads #booklove #romancereads #yaromance #yabooks #bookreview #weneeddiversebooks #weneeddiverseromance

- : “This is our life. We get to decide the rules. We get to say what goes and what stays, what matters and what doesn’t.” - Sandhya Menon, When Dimple Met Rishi • • • I wish, before I die, I will get a chance to come here and witness this beautiful Taj Mahal at least once. I want to learn and experience 🇮🇳 cultures and traditions too ✨ Anyway , I hope it is not to late for me to wish, Happy Deepavali, to those who are celebrating it 👳🏾👳🏾 • • 📷: Pinterest

- : “She refused to be one of those girls who gave up on everything they'd been planning simply because a boy entered the picture.” - Sandhya Menon, When Dimple Met Rishi • • • In conjunction with Deepavali Day, I want to recommend you a teen romance book, When Dimple Met Rishi. I believe most of you have read this, but for those who haven’t read it yet, you can give a try 🌝. - Day 17 of #duskangeloct17 Today is for chapter 17 and because my current read doesn’t really have chapters, I chose for my previous book, which was When Dimple met Rishi. Of course I don’t know exactly what happens in chapter 17, but I do know I kinda liked the book, except for the Hindi words. • I kinda hate how my little finger looks in this picture... • #duskangeloct17 #bookstagram #whendimplemetrishi #chapter17 #bookwurm #bookstagrammer #reading #readingislife #readingbooks #octoberchallenge
