Like + comment below. . . Super vulnerable moment: I have not danced for myself in months... I recall my #DanceMovementTherapy + Counseling interview @columbiachi for graduate school. Dr. L. Hervey asked me, "Why do you dance? And why do you want to be a dance/movement therapist?"... I broke down in tears, on-the-spot. The short answer: #dance saved my life. Through my deepest depressions, my overwhelming anxieties, my challenging feelings of isolation, hopelessness, fear, grief, and loss, I always had dance. -It allowed me to be authentic + expressive, non-verbally communicate my internal experiment, and it allowed me to heal myself. . . Not all days are or will be joyful, but in those times I know without a doubt: #danceitout!!!💃🎶💞 This video was inspired by the encouragement of friends and mentors, who know me and see me. Life has not been ideal, but they remind me to be true to myself and find joy in the small moments. Thank you all for being witness to my #selfexpression and #selfcare. 🙏💗🤗

- Boooa noite gente !! Ontem foi minha primeira competição federada de fisiculturismo, a 5 Copa Limeira da IFBB !! Completamente outro nível! Muitos sabiam que esse dia seria tão esperado, porém ele chegou e o resultado foi que infelizmente não me classifiquei entre as moças wellness. fiquei triste? Sim, claro mas também feliz. Só quem viveu e vive esses momentos sabe o quão difícil é chegar até lá, ficar dias sem comida e mais de 24h sem água e esperar 8h pra mais pra chegar a sua vez de ir ao palco. Tantos obstáculos contribuíram para que eu desistisse, mas o principal de tudo é jamais desistir daquilo que a gente mais sonha! Consciência limpa e feliz em fazer tudo o que eu podia, esse foi o primeiro e quem sabe no próximo né, galera ? - I did a poll on my story a few days ago, basically asking people have they ever consciously given themselves a break from dieting or trying to lose weight🍕🥞🍟 (falling off the bandwagon doesn't count🙄). . Given the amount of people that voted, I was really surprised with the amount of people who have NEVER given themselves a break from dieting. This really is an unhealthy relationship with food and dieting in general, and not very good for you. . What people need to realise is that although dieting is seen as "healthy" by most, it is actually very stressful on the body. Your body doesn't want to be ridiculously lean, it's like to have a healthy amount of body fat at all times. So you constantly trying to lose body fat and your body resisting just makes the situation worse and worse⚠️. . What you need to do is STOP⛔️When I say stop, I don't mean stop training and just start eating crap. That's just as bad🤔. . What you need to do is give yourself a set period of time that you're going to try and lose body fat, let's say 12 weeks. Then give yourself a 6 week break. This is just a break from hard dieting, it doesn't mean stop completely👎🏻. . What you need to do is give yourself more slightly more calories, treat yourself a little more(not too much🙄) and train really hard while you have all this energy from more food.
