- 5 (Nearly) Random Pieces of Military History Trivia 1. The Roman Legions utilized four types of the Gladius (translated to sword, but referring in this case to specific models) during their existence. The Gladius would later be entirely replaced by a modified version of the longer Spatha (Roman cavalry sword) for infantry use. 2. Approximately 5, 750 of the successful Soviet La-7 fighter aircraft were produced in total. The aircraft was the successor to the previous La-5 and La-5FN. 3. The first fixed wing aircraft in combat use were unarmed, and meant to only act as reconnaissance vehicles. Pilots engaged in fighting were forced to rely on whatever weapons they could carry, this meant pistols had to be used against enemy aircraft and small, hand dropped, bombs were used against ground targets. 4. The German U-boats, short for the German words for undersea boat, were used widely in both World Wars. They were also finally countered in both World Wars, more so in the second, by the use of convoys which included destroyers able to catch up to the submarines and destroy them by either cannon, or later using sonar combined with anti-submarine weapons such as the depth charge. 5. German Stormtroopen (Stormtroopers) of World War I were specialized for breaking into the heavily defended trench networks of the Western Front, thus allowing normal infantry to make use of the break and follow up with the main push. These troops made great use of submachine guns, grenades, and any melee weapons that they had (knives and shovels being common). #worldwars #rome #swords #ancientwarfare #history #military #militaryhistory #historybuff #historynerd #20thcentury #20thcenturywarfare #weapons #guns #gun #bladedweapons #trivia #historytrivia #militarytrivia #5piecesofnearlyrandomtrivia #5piecesoftrivia #5piecesofnearlyrandommilitaryhistorytrivia #war #warfare #worldwar1 #worldwar2 #gladius #romangladius

- Round two: Hey @smosarms @artilleryking and Mr. Eric Anderson care to join in the convo? 👇👇👇 @dakotatactical As a continuation of our previous post, we were recently presented with this photo as evidence that Eric Andersen and SMOS Arms fully intend to steal the intellectual property that we provided to them under contract. This is their version of our handguard that they have been presenting during their solicitation to our current and potential customers. It is unarguably derived from our intellectual property. While we are legally pursuing this matter, we publicly offer this information as a warning to those that may have potential interactions with them. Do not be fooled by their claims that this is an accounting matter. This issue has several layers, every one of which has been created by their breach of contract.

- Name: Arthur Landen Age: 13 Rank: King Named after the great conqueror, Arthur is the youngest to hold the title of King. A prodigal genius, who at the young age of ten took the seat as family head after his parents passed away and soon the throne as one of the Five Kings of Diamond. Known as the White Knight, wielding a giant javelin and shield the size of his body, King Arthur Landen is not a force to be taken lightly. "I suggest you refrain from doubting my intelligence or strength, King Marcus. General Tazaya has seen first hand, my age is not a cripple upon my combative skills. I have no problem demonstrating that for you as well." - King Arthur to King Marcus "Five Kings" #kingshitonly #kso #art #digitalart #kingarthur #weapons #animation #surfacepro4 #artrage5
