Instagram photo by oceanfactHi guys! I am happy to feature this amazing and fascinating species today.
Can you guess what it is?
By the way⦠We hit the 2,000 followers! Thatâs amazing! I have neither thought we would come that far so THANKS A LOT to everyone. It makes my day everyday to see that people are curious, want to learn more and try to understand the world they live in.
Ocean Fact: Sooo the little spectral creature on these pictures is named Ghost nudibranch (a.k.a. Melibe colemani). With its transparent cryptic body, it constitutes a Holy Grail for divers as challenging to see. Sea slugs are predators which prey on other nudibranchs, jellyfish or chew on corals. They come in a large diversity of shapes and colours that counts for about 3,000 species.
I invite you to check #nudibranch
to have an overview of their diversity. Photographer featured today: @taxenko @melly.mew @mona_mi17 @scubaqjkang
