- What a lovely way to spend a Tuesday evening... I went to a very calming (and creative) @medunlocked session tonight, with a view out over a night-lit Tower Of London. It's a very different experience meditating with a group and I recommend it from time to time if you're normally a solo meditator. I'm definitely a head-full type of person and meditation is something I turn to again and again, in its many guises, to give me clarity and stillness. Oh - and if you were wondering what the connection with the picture is, one of my favourite calm down drinks is turmeric latte. This one was from around the corner where I did my meditation so I guess there's a kind of link 😂

- Tofu Butter Masala up on the blog! Think creamy and warm. Sounds good right? It sure helps to warm you up on these getting-colder-out nights. 🌬Goodness I can't wait for Spring to return again. ☀️I'm ready already. But we haven't even gotten to the holidays just yet, so I guess I shouldn't fast forward in life so fast. Thanksgiving is just 2 days away, so I wanted to share some things I am thankful for. . I am thankful to have a full time pretty steady job, one that I get to do the kind of thing I love doing, 🏞creating. It's not my ultimate end all dream job, but most people are far from satisfied at where they are in their career anyways, so I am thankful for the opportunity to be employed. I am also so thankful at God's answered prayer to give me a 🐕 dog, one that suits my needs so well. She has been a lot of work, but a blessing in teaching me responsibility and getting me back on my feet again, exercising as much as my dysautonomia condition will allow me to. I am so very thankful for my 💑 husband, he is my best friend that I can talk to about anything, hang out with anywhere, and who often times puts me first above what even he wants. He is the biggest blessing I've ever received in my life. And lastly I am thankful for 🌈 God and His patience and love. I see His hand in my life, and I know He is true. Everybody has something to be thankful time, it's so easy to look at what we are lacking, what we don't have and want or maybe even need, but don't let this take away from all that you either have had in the past or do have currently. You have so much to live for, you are loved more than you know. . - Cocinando ando! Así hago mis lentejas. Estos granos son una fuente de fibra, proteínas, hierro y vitaminas. Procuro preparar medio kilo o más para luego dividirlo en porciones que se congelan y voy sacando cada ración una o dos veces por semana. 🌿para el sofrito: - cebolla y ajoporro: quercetina para el sistema cardiovascular. - ajo: alicina para la salud cardiovascular e inulina para la flora intestinal. - cúrcuma: antioxidante, antiinflamatoria, cuida tu cerebro y articulaciones, y ayuda a eliminar células tumorales. - Ají dulce y pimentón: vitaminas y minerales. - cilantro fresco: sabor !! - comino entero: vitaminas y minerales. 🌿se hierven las lentejas en suficiente agua. Al ablandar, se baja el fuego. 🌿picar todos los ingredientes del sofrito. 🌿se prepara el sofrito empezando con la cúrcuma con un toque de pimienta negra recién molida (piperina). 🌿agregar una taza del agua con que se hierve las lentejas.
