- I've been asked to give an introduction, so, here it goes... I grew up the youngest of 2. I was always a head taller than almost everyone and always felt "big." I was self conscious of my size starting in 2nd grade. My parents divorced when I was in high school, and both remarried the following year. As much as divorce sucks, I gained a second Dad and 4 siblings I love with all my heart. I went to college for Music Education and while I was there I met the love of my life. I was married at 22, moved to St. Louis, then Chicago about 7 years later. Married life brought the loss of my Father in Law, a new city, and the beginning of my journey with almost every female condition in the books with tests, procedures, surgeries, hospital stays and finally infertility. Over the span of just a few short years Brian and I lost several Uncles, all of our grandparents and most recently was the loss of my Dad to cancer. Yep, life brings a whole lot of lows, but even so, it brings joy and pure happiness too. I would not have the extended family I do today had it not been through the loss of my parent's marriage. I would not have the amazing children I do today had I not gone through infertility. I would not have the truly incredible friends from several cities had I not gone through the hard adjustments of moving. As an adult I also started struggling with my weight. It seemed to follow the ups and downs of life. But also with these ebbs and flows and knowing I needed to get healthy, I knew I also needed an outlet and a way to feel better. I discovered fitness. It was my sanity. Losing my Dad at such a young age and knowing I'm an "older" mom really hit home. I knew I had to do everything possible to be around to see my kids grow up, get married and hopefully be one amazing grandma someday. To learn that I could stay accountable for my own health and fitness and help others do the same and build a business with awesome women by my side (from the US, 🇨🇦and soon🇬🇧) has been a blessing. I'm always excited to have people join me on this journey. If any of this interests you, let's chat. 😍
