- Becoming a healer was not something I decided, it came to me. Healers are often people who have been wounded themselves, so they have the compassion. An insightful healer knows what it's like to tread in the shoes of someone whose faced pain, loss, decisive choices in life, #love, #forgiveness and deep #transformation . But more than that, it takes #empathy not sympathy; You can't sit and cry for the person in pain, but you have to be able to sit with their pain without taking it home with you. A spiritual healer may sense the #energy. Feel it, smell it, hear it, or see it, or simply have a deep knowing. It could be one or a combination of these senses. So It is imperative to take care with your words when counseling, for words can destroy or build a person. To know how to listen, and the ability to feel into where the other person is, becomes vital. If you receive cryptic messages from beyond in a kind of morse code, interpreting the message is not always clear, but remember there is a human being facing you, and you cannot mess with their life. I used to get so excited in the beginning when people would come for sessions, and I felt in my body the distress they felt in theirs. My ego was delighted. I could tell them things, that only they could know. But over time I learnt that it was not healthy for me to feel others pain in my body, and it wasn't good for the client when my ego grew. After all what does it matter if I know things about you. What does matter, is how I can guide you to grow out of the situation, to transform those places that bring you pain into keys of opportunity, opening the door to your personal growth, healing and transformation. So I learnt over time that it was my job to run along side of you , rather than simply feed you with things I know about you. To use any information I received quietly to show you the way through your self development and transformation.. I learnt that It was so important beyond my intuitive knowledge to study with a reputable school and get qualified so I would be able to protect you and also myself. Most of all I learnt what a privelage it is to do this work, and for people to allow me into their lives!
