- A Sugar Cookie Cutout recipe to last you all holiday season long! 🦊 I’ve tried many sugar cookie recipes and they always seem to lack in flavor and be dry as sand. No more! This recipe is perfection - lots of vanilla flavor, a pinch of cinnamon, and they’re baked for a short time at a high temp which seems to keep them moist. Side note - I knew my hand cutter would come in handy someday 😁✋🏻 Makes 30 Cookies Ingredients: 3/4 cups Unsalted Butter softened 1 cup Sugar 2 Eggs 1 tsp Vanilla Extract 2 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour 1 tsp Baking Powder 1/2 tsp Salt 1/2 tsp Cinnamon Method: 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line two baking sheets with silpat baking mats or parchment paper. 2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside. 3. In a large bowl of a standing mixer, cream butter and sugar on low speed until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time; add vanilla. Stop mixer for a moment, scrape sides of bowl and mix for 30 seconds more. 4. With mixer on low, scoop in dry ingredients 1/2 cup at a time until fully incorporated. Turn off mixer, remove dough and wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1/2 hour. 5. Flour a clean surface and roll out dough to 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Dip cookie cutters in flour and cut shapes. Place cut dough on silpat mats about 1/2 inch apart. 6. Bake cookies for 6-8 minutes until set. Cool cookies on a cooling rack. - Beef and Cranberry Stew 🍲 Super comforting beef stew with potatoes, carrots, and celery and a fun new twist with the addition of fresh cranberries. All inspired by the lovely pot roast recipe from @halfbakedharvest. When cooked slow and low, the cranberries lose much of their tartness and add a nice depth to the stew. Serves 4 Ingredients: 2 tbsp Olive Oil 1 lb Cubed Stewing Beef 1 tbsp Flour 1/2 Sweet Onion chopped 2 Garlic Cloves chopped 3 Celery Stalks sliced 3 Carrots peeled and sliced 3 Red Potatoes cubed 1 cup fresh Cranberries 1/2 cup Red Wine 4 cups Beef Broth 1 tbsp A1 Sauce 1 tsp Dried Oregano 1 tsp Dried Thyme 1 tsp Dried Parsley 1 Dried Bay Leaf Salt & Pepper to taste 1 cup Egg Noodles Method: 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and lower oven rack just below the middle position. Heat olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat. Add beef and brown on all sides. Add flour and stir to coat; brown a couple minutes more. 2. Add onion and garlic to the pot and sauté until fragrant. Add carrots, potatoes, and celery. Add wine and broth and give it a big stir. 3. Add A1 sauce and all seasonings. Salt and pepper to taste. Stir, cover with a lid, and bring to a low boil. 4. Uncover, add cranberries, cover and place in the oven. Cook for 45 minutes. 5. Carefully remove pot from oven, add egg noodles, cover and place back in the oven. Cook for 30 minutes more until noodles are softened. - Cardamom Honey Pastry Puffs 🍯 Easy like a Sunday Morning, these pastry puffs are so simple to make and come out light and fluffy...almost soufflé like. A hint of cardamom and the sweetness from the honey are a perfect match. 😍 Makes 12 puffs Ingredients: 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter 1 cup Whole Milk 3/4 cups Flour 1 tsp Cardamom 4 Eggs 1 tbsp Sugar 1 tbsp Honey Method: 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and generously grease a 12-cup muffin tin. 2. In a small bowl, mix flour and cardamom. Set aside. 3. Melt butter over medium heat in a medium saucepan. Add milk and bring to a boil. 4. Reduce heat to low and pour flour mixture in all at once. Stir vigorously until a ball forms and does not separate. Take off stove and cool 5 minutes. 5. Stir in eggs one at a time stirring until smooth after each addition. 6. Spoon batter about 2/3 full in each muffin tin. Sprinkle the tops with sugar. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden on top and puffed up. 7.
