- Hey there! I'm Lindsey the online educator behind hazelhaven.com. . I started as a corporate girl turned virtual assistant and now I help creative business owners learn how to use the tools to grow their online presence so they are confident when going on camera. ๐ŸŽฅ Fun facts: I'm an introverted extrovert. When I laugh really hard I snort. I am a huge fan of sweater weather. . Iโ€™m working on a fun new project all about helping you have camera confidence and be more comfortable with the tech side of videos - if that sounds like something youโ€™d be interested in head over to hazelhaven.com/waitlist to get notified when itโ€™s live! . Now over to you, who are you? How did you find me? What do you do before you go on camera? I make goofy faces like this because laughing at myself REALLY helps me push through. ๐Ÿ˜‚ #fridayintroductions #learnsomethingnew #lipsense #dowhatyoulove #beyouigchallenge

- Wow it's been so long since I did one of these. So guess what?! It's #FridayIntroduction time! 1. I don't like beer. I like wine + long Island iced tea. But beer has never been my drink of choice. 2. My favourite season is fall because it's cold enough to wear cardigans and scarves, but too hot to wear jackets. 3. My ideal evening with hubby would be take out, wine and Netflix ๐Ÿท 4. Currently I am binge watching cop shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine. I also love shows like Jane the Virgin and Dynasty. 5. I prefer sugary over salty! I'll eat ice cream but hubby would prefer a bag of chips. Introduce yourself below! I would love to meet you! ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ“ท: @kaylahillphoto

- confession time:๐Ÿ™ˆ identity - the way i (tript) thought of myself aka my identity, which then effected the way I saw my life unfolding, came crashing in 2014. . it's been almost 4 years since and let me tell you, it's hard to let go and I have spent the better part of the last 4 years completely lost. being in my 30s and all of a sudden being back at square one, all of a sudden not knowing who I was, what I wanted , how I saw my future - was really scary. I felt like I had lost a huge chunk of myself and didn't know what to do. . slowly i came to a realization - the way i saw myself and wanted others to see me - had become a trapping of my own creation. something i had built, brick by brick, layer by layer over the years. and when it all came crumbling down I was bare and exposed and really didn't know what to do. . but even though it's been a slow process i have finally started to grasp onto the idea that your identity is fluid - it's not cemented, and it's something that can't be forced. and once you let go of that, there is a taste of freedom, a freedom to be and see yourself in a new light, and yes at the beginning, most days this is scary and it takes lots of unlearning. . ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผso i challenge you, to try to stop the self talk that tells you that you are a particular way "i'm not good with names" - that thought, the more and more you repeat to yourself will come to be true - you will not be good with names. i'm by no means great at this, but hey a work in progress is always better than perfection right? . ๐Ÿ–คwe would love to hear your stories and your thoughts on this, ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผlet us know in the comments in the below!๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

- We are so excited that our community is growing! We are going to start introducing you to our tribe with #fridayintroductions each week featuring a local Roc Girl Boss! Meet: Angela Benincasa Co-Founder of Helicon Photo + Paper Co. www.heliconphoto.com Instagram: @heliconpaper Email: angela@heliconphoto.com Mission: At Helicon Photo + Paper Co., we seek to create and promote beautiful, artistic, personal photography and paper goods. As a husband and wife design team, our work is from the heart, embraces people as individuals, and celebrates you. Whether youโ€™re looking to capture visual memories or announce your exciting event with a great design, we will keep it real, and focus on the small details that make you unique to illustrate your story. Background: I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design from SUNY Oneonta and an Associates Degree in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. I worked as a Fashion Designer in NYC for a decade, designing women's clothing for big companies like Victoria's Secret Pink, Calvin Klein Performance and DKNY Active before relocating to Rochester this past Spring. A few years ago,I discovered my love for creating stationery and paper goods after working on a few different design projects for my friends' weddings and bridal showers. My husband was a freelance photographer at the time and we decided to create a side-business combining our skills to service weddings and events.I've been focusing on growing my side of the business in Rochester and hope to introduce a greeting card line in the near future. My unique design background has given me expertise in interpreting trends to create designs that fit each specific client, while using only the highest quality materials. My designs include digital work with handmade art, such as calligraphy, hand lettering, watercolor or illustration. I aim to create designs that are beautiful, tasteful and unique, with themes and styles that reflect the couple I'm designing for. Facts: Outside of art, I'm a running fanatic and a secret computer nerd. I spend my down time going for long runs outside while listening to a podcast or glued to my computer playing video games

- This Friday is a good Friday for #fridayintroductions right? Alright cool. โ € โ € This is me. In Australia. Starring at a perfect plate of Thai deliciousness. Pure bliss, ya know? Thai will do that to ya. โ € โ € I'm Mariah. Liszewski is my last name, not Magazine....but Magazine is a whole lot easier to pronounce then my polish jumbled real one. โ € โ € I got the nickname Mariah Magazine back in the MySpace days....which is actually where I started messing around with code. Funny how things work out...โ € โ € My first business started when I was 7. You know those cool gel pens? I sold gel pen "tattoos" to my friends at lunch. I had a whole book of designs and charged .25 to 1.00 for each design. But my refund policy was a little strict.....if they smudged the design, I'd recharge to re-tattoo them ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ โ € โ € I always knew I'd start my own business, but I wasn't sure how or what or why or when, until it happened. Randomly. Stemming from the fact that I hated working a 9-5 and spending my energy building someone else's dream. I decided if my jerk head boss could run a business and be successful, I could too. โ € โ € So bam baby, fast forward 2 1/2 years and here I am. Constantly learning and evolving and riding the highs and lows of the entrepreneurial journey with a big cup of coffee and an even bigger smile. โ € โ € How'd you start your biz? I love hearing everyone's stories and listening to the passion that comes through their energy when they talk about finding their own path. โ € โ € Life really is a beautiful thing. โ € Happy Friday party people. Cheers to you. โ € โ € โ € #connection #myownboss #bossbitch #liveauthentic #authenticliving #liveyouradventure #bosslady #laptoplifestyle #inspireothers #flatlaystyle #authentic #thelittlethings #livejoyfully #findbeautyineverything #simplethingsinlife #bossbabe #createyourhype #creativityfound #entrepreneurship #makersmovement #solopreneur #weekendvibes #entrepreneurlife #abmlifeiscolorful #lovelife #friyay #creativepreneur #creatives #smallbizsquad

- Best business expenses EVER ๐Ÿ˜ I've always attempted to set goals but I find them really difficult. So when I was deciding whether to get the @cultivatewhatmatters #Powersheets I decided to trust in the process and take the leap. . There are so many things I want to bring to ABOH and our community but honestly? I'm scared of failure. I'm scared of no one caring, no one being interested, no one willing to invest in the message. With these Powersheets I'm hoping to push all these fears away...and launch some BIG things in the new year. 2018 here we come ๐Ÿ™Œ Are you with me? ๐Ÿ’š

- How to give effective feedback to your designer and not be a leaf! โœจ Be honest. If you donโ€™t like something, we need to know, you wont hurt our feelings. โœจ Be specific. Point out what, exactly, is not working for you, and why itโ€™s not working. โœจ Ask why. If you arenโ€™t sure what we were thinking, Everything that has been done for the project has a purpose. โœจ Refer to your goals. Relate every piece of criticism back to your goals. โœจ Relate to your audience. Your audience should be top of mind for every decision or critique that you provide. What do they need?
