- change your point of view sometimes, it helps. _______________________________ My dad is raised a muslim, my mum is raised a christian. So naturally I grew up with both religions being big parts of my life. But I wouldn't call myself particularly religious. Actually religion never meant a lot to me, but I always believed and still do believe in God. The day I turned a vegetarian was a really tough day for my dad. No way ever would he understand how I could make the decision to stop eating animals. How I could view their lifes as worthy as ours. Since we were the ones above them, closest to God. We had to reign and possess over them, which in his eyes equals eating them and not caring about how they are treated (little sidenote neither my dad nor I have ever read the Quran). I never really cared about it, since, like I said, I wasn't much religious. Until recently I gained a newly found interest in religion. Especially and oh so very surprisingly in Christianity and the Islam. Mostly I was interested in their views on animals and humans relationship with them. Hearing my dad talk like that and reading in the genesis that we are to "rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky (...) and over all the creatures that move along the earth" bugged me a lot. It just felt utterly wrong. How could we, who are built in the image of God, who is Love, be so cruel to a living and breathing being? One day, during one of my beloved walks to one of my favorite spots on earth, a wire in my head snapped and I understood. It finally made sense. To rule with Love is the key. To use our consciousness wisely. Which does not equal to kill and to abuse animals or any other living being. A week later I watched a movie with my dad about Mohammad the Prophet's life. In the end he said one particular thing, which only confirmed me in my previous revelation - he told his folks to not kill, eat or treat any living creature poorly. Neither he allowed them to snatch a single tree in the Holy City. I looked my dad in the eyes and said "Did you hear that?!?" Three weeks fast forward, I just came back from vacation and another story short; my dad saved a little black bug's life πŸ‘‡πŸΌ

- Intelligent girls see their worth, they push past their insecurities, so they don’t waste much time questioning why someone left them. They remind themselves that if a person is gone, they must not belong together. That person must not be good enough for them. After all, if someone is not doing their share in the relationship, if they always take and keep forgetting to give, then they are not worth dating. It is better off that they are gone, because intelligent girls never settle for less than they deserve. #lost #lostinph #morningmotivation #morning #white #wheninmanila #wanderlust #simplicity #iphone #iphonephotography #deptheffect #gypsy #love #black #asian #vsco #vscoph #vscogram #vscoart #vscodaily
