We don’t have ‘brekky’ foods in this household we eat all real food at any time of day. If you can start every meal with a base of veggies you’re off to a good bloody start 👌🏽 this is what Shans and my workshops are all about... loading your diet with as many veg and nutrients as possible making sure it still tastes great! @myfoodreligion

- So I am doing another probiotic experiment... and this time it involves my darling but neurotic dog Zoey. I've heard before that dog gut species and human gut species only have about 30% in common. But that's not going to stop me from playing around with giving Zoey our Mood Boosting Probiotic. I am insatiably curious and also would love to help my dog chill out. She is a nervous pee-er. And she just gets very nervous about life in general. 😅😁😆 So today, I served up a bowl of cooled oatmeal with a probiotic mixed in. I keep having people message me and tell me about how they love the chilled-out experience they are having from our probiotic. It's not a huge shift but it's noticeable nonetheless. - Sauerkraut and pickles are two of the fermented foods you can easily prepare. These probiotics are excellent for maintaining gut flora, which are important for healthy digestion, clear skin, metabolic health, mood, weight loss, and more. Many fermented foods, such as these two, contain different strains of LAB (lactic acid bacteria), key for alleviating lactose intolerance, diarrhea, peptic ulcer. Also stimulates the immune system, have antiallergic effects, anti fungal action, preservation of food, and prevention of colon cancer. * PICKLES Small cucumbers sliced in quarters (not Persian, too soft) Distilled water Garlic buds (great PREBiotic) 1tbsp sea salt per cup/water spices to taste (peppercorns, mustard seeds, bay leaves, etc) Make brine by dissolving salt in water. Pack cucumbers, garlic & spices in jar(s), add water. Cover jar with tight lid, or coffee filter secured with elastic band. Ferment at room temperature in dark. Release pressure daily (about 5-7 days). Store in fridge for up to three months. SAUERKRAUT Red or green cabbage (green less messy) 1 Tbsp Sea salt (Optional garlic, onion, spices). Finely slice cabbage and add to large bowl. Add salt. Massage for 10 to 15 minutes until liquid comes out. Place in jars. If not enough liquid, add distilled water. Close tightly with lid, or coffee filter with elastic band. Release pressure daily. Ready in 10 days to two weeks.
