- { Mamaliga cu branza } 3 layers of Traditional Romanian polenta with 6 types of cheeses garnished with Rudy's Chopped Meat!!! 👅 promised you mamas this recipe from today's Insta Story 👆🏻 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar 1/4 cup sour cream 1/4 cup Kefir cheese 1/4 cup Goat cheese Feta cheese 2 cups cornmeal {I doubled the ingredients} 8 cups water {I doubled the ingredients} 1 tsp salt instructions: Boil the water with salt. Once water is boiling, reduce heat to low and add the cornmeal, while stirring constantly. Keep stirring, you will notice the polenta thicken. Cook the polenta for about 20 to 30 min. On the bottom of a huge ceramic bowl, { make sure the bowl is heat resistant. Spread sour cream and kefir cheese. Then sprinkle on top of sour cream the shredded cheeses. Pour one third of the hot Polenta on top of the cheeses. Repeat with two other layers. Top generously with all cheeses. I garnished it with Rudy's Chopped meat ... but you can substitute that with bacon or sausage 🙌🏻 serve warm. If you you have extra time you you can : Preheat oven to 400 F degrees.
