- The facade of the Primadonna Casino in Reno was probably the best in Nevada history! It had it all: 5 giant gorgeous fiberglass showgirls of various ethnicities in various poses, vibrant neon and glowing orbs covered in twinkling white lights floating above their heads. We are asked about the fate of the Primadonna ladies more than any other sign. We don't know where they are or if they still exist. The middle girl was destroyed in a fire when she was moved to an adult cabaret down the street. A horribly unfitting end to a Nevada icon! This picture was taken by Eric Lynxwiler's grandfather Jim Holley in 1969. Eric, @jericl, is a neon champion from the Museum of Neon Art in Glendale California. We are glad the neon gene was passed on. Thank you for letting us share your photo Eric. #NevadaNeonProject #neon #neonsign #vintageneon #sign #signgeeks #vintage #history #retro #design #typography #art #font #metalwork #midcentury #signgeeks #usa #travel
