- After I posted this yesterday someone asked me if I was if I was going into figure 😁 I'm a bikini gal for sure but it's fun to see what I'm working with and what I've built! - Building a strong back is actually very important. The functional stability is necessary while doing various exercises, like deadlifts or squats. There is also the major benefit of increasingly good posture from a stronger back. - But from an aesthetic point of view it's great for creating a balanced physique and a good waist to booty to back ratio 🍑⚖️ When you have a wider back, you can create the illusion of a smaller waist. Of course you have to also give some attention to the lower body to balance it out, but training back can absolute help create the look of a "smaller" waist. - Some great exercises I'd recommend if you're just starting out are: ▫️lat pull downs ▫️low rows ▫️dumbbell rows ▫️deadlifts ▫️underhand lat pull downs - If you didn't know this already, @bodybuildingcom has an awesome exercise database that shows exercises with correct form and instructions.
