- How to lose 25 pounds in two minutes! For real. But truly this reminds me what a burden you carry when you have the extra inside your body. . . It's like wearing a backpack 24x7 (or all this gear and more). I know, I carried around that 85 pound internal pack. It's frustrating, and it doesn't seem fair! . It taxes your body in ways you don't realize, back pain, shortness of breath, effort to walk and get out of bed, let alone exercise. It taxes your internal organs and alters your health, your body fights for resources. Tired all the time. The list goes on. . It's a catch 22 situation to get out of it. . It all happens so slowly you won't realize the benefits until the burden is lifted. . But I got this smaller gear burden lifted quickly after shift. Ahhhh, it feels good. . . - Switching hats today! 🚔 I sometimes look up at the big guys and think "Wow, he is 3000 calories tall!" Lol, it's hard for a 5 foot nothing tall female to imagine that!  But trust me, I always have an appetite and of left unchecked I could always eat over my maintenance needs. . I can remember sitting around the table with these guys when I weighed almost 200 pounds (a much bigger uniform and belt - OMG so embarrassing) and thinking "What is WRONG WITH ME?  My metabolism must be broken.  I don't eat any more than anyone else?" . And there lies the problem. The serving sizes in society are designed for the 6 foot male.  It's hard to see that.  The smaller you are the less food you need. If you eat more than your body needs it gets stored as fat. It's that simple.  Don't make it more complicated than that. . Exercise is good for you but it is not what drives fat loss. Nutrition IS. You need a little of all the things in the right amount and not depriving yourself.  Protein is such a key.  If you don't get enough you won't feel good enough while on that slight deficit for fat loss.  And if you want to keep your muscles strong, you need the protein often as it's the one macro your body does not store. . But you also need the right amount of healthy carbohydrates and fats. . See? It's a tightrope. Not too little, not too much. . I'm only 1500-1600 calories tall.  See where I'm coming from?  It's so easy to eat over that, even for me. But too low is a rebound. . . - Feeling insecure after the exam I just took, so I'm heading to the gym now for some therapy. This video was yesterday at one of several gyms I can choose according to mood, need, location. . Why would I belong to more than one gym? Well it's a lifestyle that is important to me. Each offers something different. . . The Sheriff gym I pay for by working as a volunteer and it's nice when I need the time alone. . The gym. It's the one place I feel in my element if I can only push aside all the fears, doubt, and insecurities I feel at the moment.
