- I cannot get enough of this girl. Mocha (aka Melody) is just soooo happy to have a loving home, food and water. She loves to play fetch. All in all, she is just a great girl whose tail never stops wagging. We have taught her to sit and we are working on other tricks. The other night she got so tired that she put herself to bed....went into kennel by herself and laid down. She will be available for adoption very soon. - *long morning streeeeeetch* 🙌🏽 its Fridayyyy!✨ So, I hit a plateau a few months ago and I want to be transparent about it and share: in March I went on an insanely disciplined journey where I cut out dairy, gluten, soda (hard for me), alcohol, and red meat. I was killing the game, and feeling the best I ever had! And thennnn my stress and anxiety started acting up again🤦🏽‍♀️ I got a new job, and really backslid and started eating anything and everything using the excuse "well I worked really hard for months so it's okay to take a break" and stuff like that. Not acceptable. No, I don't have to be that strict every day, but the "I'll start again tomorrow" mentality is detrimental to my growth. It allows you to get complacent and that is why I plateaued both physically and mentally. I don't feel good mentally when I know I'm being nasty to myself: ordering takeout at 9pm, mindlessly eating, and not working out because I CLIMBED MULTIPLE FLIGHTS OF STAIRS TODAY 😂😂😫 So, I cracked open some of the classics: "The Happiness Project", "The Artist's Way" "Daring Greatly" "Better Than Before" (Gretchen Rubin is a goddess) and "The Gifts of Imperfection" and have recommitted to a better routine. Don't start tomorrow, start today. Take breaks! But be mindful of what's becoming not just a "day off" but a habit. Put good things in your both your mind and body! 📷Jaclyn Cataldi💕
