They are nutritious, a meal you can eat off of for a few days, and accompany any dish as a side dish or can easily be the main course. Most all Dal dishes are vegetarian and can easily be vegan. I suggest all vegans learn how to make Indian Dal!!! This is a: Punjabi Lobia Masala (Black-eyed Peas Curry). I had this guy for breakfast this morning.
