- I never actually set out to run a business, it was just sort of a by product of feeling lost a few years ago. 2014 was a rough one for me, it was full of beautiful moments to be sure but I also remember feel a little lonely, very much exhausted, and I didn’t feel like I had the energy or the ability to invest into my creative self. I had a baby and a toddler who I loved with my whole self and we had the greatest adventures but with Steve traveling often for work and then taking real estate courses by night much of my energies went to taking care of my little boys. I hadn’t been able to work with clay since I graduated from art school 4 years earlier and I missed it! That November I went to @phxflea and there I saw artists and creators like I had never seen before! I felt such excitement and I looked at the things their hands had made. I shuffled with the waves of people booth to booth. I bought an Arizona ornament from @lettercraft and a print from @yellowbungalowshop that had water colored feathers and said “be brave.” I came home and told Steve that I thought I could be a part of something like that if I started making ceramics again. That December Steve surprised me with #bettythekiln for Christmas (a gift he says he can never top) and we made room in our little house for a studio. I don’t think you have to run a business to find creative fulfillment but I do think it is important to find a way to create, to express, to find pieces of yourself through the process of making. I’m grateful for those who helped me be brave, many of those I saw at my first @phxflea are now some of my dearest friends who pass creating opportunities and encouragement my way most often. We all have talents and inclinations. I think it is incredibly important to encircle yourself with those who help you find the beauty in yourself, as well as in the life you’re living, and the world around you.

- Woobie, Lovey, or Taggie. Whatever you call them, they'll be your little one's favorite thing to comfort him or her. Little ones love to rub the soft minky against their face. I know my daughter does and she's almost 2. Or some love to chew on the tags. Great for the car and a diaper bag staple. You can even attach toys to the ribbon. Great stocking stuffers this Holiday season. . . . . #lashesnstachesoretsy #etsybaby #woobie #lovie #taggies #minky #minkyblanket #robot #train #little #babyboy #giftforbaby #mister #stockingstuffer #misterman #littleman #babytoys #infant #babystuff #maker #etsyshop #handmade #handmadeshop #shopsmall
