Is it true? -- 🙅🏽‍♂️No! Absolutely not and here is why. Our bodies don't know what time of day it is as far as food and digestion are concerned. All it knows is calories, macronutrients how to digest them. -- 🤔There are those that believe that eating carbohydrates after 7pm will cause it to be converted straight into fat but that's not true at all! - I am so pleasantly surprised and pleased with week 1 of my keto diet! So far I have noticed that I am less bloated, less puffy, less hungry and more satisfied. My body feels lighter and tighter already from the loss of water weight most likely. I am most amazed at the fact that I don't feel hangry all day long. With all of the fat I'm eating I feel so satisfied and full, it's awesome. I never thought I could do this diet because I'm such a carb junkie (donuts, rice, noodles, bread, I freakin love it all)! One week with no sugar and no grains, flour, beans, etc and I surprisingly don't miss it or crave it. I'm having so much fun with new keto recipes too! I mainly started this diet to see if it will help clear my skin and reduce my painful bloating. I already see great benefits, I'm excited to see what the next few weeks bring! . . . . . Here are a few things I have prepped for the week. Flax seed crackers (so crunchy and flavorful), oopsie bread or cloud bread, choco coconut fat bomb truffles, hard boiled eggs, avocado, 1oz servings of macadamia and pistachio nuts, and single servings of coconut oil and butter for my "Bulletproof" coffees. I also have lots of fatty meats cooked, and tons of greens and veggies (spinach, kale, cucumber, bell pepper, zucchini, celery) . . . . . . I have experienced some less intense workouts, I don't feel as strong and a few headaches but that's just my body adjusting to the new diet. Next step is to get keto test strips to make sure my body is actually in a state of ketosis! - Find a friend that bring out the beast in you... whoops, I meant best... or did I 😉 Words can not describe how grateful I am to have this pretty lady in my life! Why you ask... well other then her itch to always workout with me... her brutal honesty, kind heart, wild spirit, and huge amount of love for life had me feeling absolutely thankful beyond words. In life you need good friends. You need people that get you, and support every decision no matter what! Mainly friends who accept your flaws and embrace your weirdness... let's be real though you have to have friends who have a hard time waking up on bad days and getting shit done, who struggle and get through the low moments at times... those are the kind of people that love for all the right reasons. They love because they are more thankful for being alive then having material things... they are the kind of people who would rather see million dollar views then paying a million dollars for anything else... find your tribe. Love your tribe, but remember that your vibe is what attracts you tribe... so never forget that the way you treat people and talk to people, is exactly how they will reciprocate. Such an old saying, treat others the way you want to be treated, but these days there are so many people in this world that just don't realize that or are so mean! Also having a roasted potato left over from my parents Sunday roast and some extra cut up tomatos on the side. - Turning 50 this month has made me reflect back to a time when I was young, healthy, and passionate about life. I can honestly say I have struggled a bit with finding my purpose. Living with chronic pain and endless health issues has taken a part of my soul. But I have been fighting with everything I have to get it back. On that journey of rediscovering myself I have been focusing on all the things that used to make me happy. One of the most important thing to me is being active. Over the past few months I have began living again. I recently found a Keto lifestyle that seems to be allowing my mind and body to get a jump start. So...with that in mind, I have decided to join the Keto Diet Challenge. This picture is a portion of what I submitted as my before picture. It starts tomorrow,and last 2 months. - Turning 50 this month has made me reflect back to a time when I was young, healthy, and passionate about life. I can honestly say I have struggled a bit with finding my purpose. Living with chronic pain and endless health issues has taken a part of my soul. But I have been fighting with everything I have to get it back. On that journey of rediscovering myself I have been focusing on all the things that used to make me happy. One of the most important thing to me is being active. Over the past few months I have began living again. I recently found a Keto lifestyle that seems to be allowing my mind and body to get a jump start. So...with that in mind, I have decided to join the Keto Diet Challenge. This picture is a portion of what I submitted as my before picture. It starts tomorrow,and last 2 months. My personal goal is to continue with gaining muscle, and lowering my body fat percentage.
