- Thank you, Flatiron Books, for this gorgeous, possibly terrifying book! The last YA Flatiron book I read was Caraval so I have very high hopes for Hazel Wood! Seriously, this looks like an amazing story and anything written by a fellow book pusher with a nerdy main character already has a few points to its credit. . . . . #thehazelwood #melissaalbert #flatironbooks #january2018release #ya #youngadult #ireadya #yafantasy #fantasy #arc #advancereading #galleybrag #bookmail #bookstagram #instabook #igbooks #igreads #bookworm #booknerd #bookdragon #bookblogger #blogger #intothehazelwood

- I hope you are all having a lovely start to your weekend! ๐Ÿ˜š The other day I finished reading The Hazel Wood & I'm so happy to say I fell completely in love with it โœจ๐Ÿ‚ it's mysterious and beautiful and addictiveโ€” I couldn't put it down and it's one that I immediately want to start reading again & for me that is the sign of a new favourite ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ I'm sure I'll have a review up nearer the release date (January 2018) & I'll probably reread again before then!

- I received The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert in the mail this afternoon from @flatiron_books and it's title page and cover are so beautiful I'm in awe. The premise is also something I'm swooning over. Here's the summary from Goodreads: Seventeen-year-old Alice and her mother have spent most of Aliceโ€™s life on the road, always a step ahead of the uncanny bad luck biting at their heels. But when Aliceโ€™s grandmother, the reclusive author of a cult-classic book of pitch-dark fairy tales, dies alone on her estate, the Hazel Wood, Alice learns how bad her luck can really get: Her mother is stolen awayโ€•by a figure who claims to come from the Hinterland, the cruel supernatural world where her grandmother's stories are set. Alice's only lead is the message her mother left behind: โ€œStay away from the Hazel Wood.โ€ Alice has long steered clear of her grandmotherโ€™s cultish fans. But now she has no choice but to ally with classmate Ellery Finch, a Hinterland superfan who may have his own reasons for wanting to help her. To retrieve her mother, Alice must venture first to the Hazel Wood, then into the world where her grandmother's tales beganโ€•and where she might find out how her own story went so wrong. I'm probably going to start this soon as it seems like the perfect book to get me more in the autumnal spirit- even though it's still eighty degrees outside. The Hazel Wood comes out January 30, 2018, so there's a bit to wait before it's released, but I have a feeling it'll be worth it! #thehazelwood #intothehazelwood

- Happy Labor Day! I'm so excited to have an extra day off this weekend- especially because I ended up catching a cold right when the weekend began on Saturday ๐Ÿ˜ญ on the bright side, I did finish reading The Hazel Wood and I loved it so much! I definitely recommend picking this one up when it comes out in January. The story is so unique and it gave me the creepiest vibes- similar to reading a Neil Gaiman book (which is HIGH praise in my book). #lilbookishtags . . . . #bookstagram #instabooks #ya #yalit #yalovin #youngadult #bookaddict #bookphotography #ireadya #booksandtea #bibliophile #booknerd #yabooks #reading #bookworm #intothehazelwood #thehazelwood #bookrec

- My review of @melissaalbertauthor's The Hazel Wood is up on the blog! (You can find the link in my bio. ๐Ÿ˜) This book completely blew me away. It was such a stunning read, and it felt like the kind of book I've always wanted to read, if that makes any sense. ๐Ÿ˜„ If you enjoy dark fairy tales, lush, poetic prose, and feeling as if you've fallen "down the rabbit hole," I think you'll love it, too. ๐Ÿ’› It might be the best book I've read so far in 2017, and I can't wait to get my hands on a finished copy next January! โญ๏ธ๐ŸŒ™ โ€ขโ€ขโ€ข Thanks again to @flatiron_books for sending me an uncorrected proof to read and review! ๐Ÿ’›
