- I would never be one to post a bikini picture or not be walking round the pool covering my stomach, but I have finally got to a point where I feel relatively happy in MY own skin, still a lot of improvement to be done and by no means do I think I have a great body, but for me this is an improvement to my past reflection, I was pretty chub when younger. Everyone has different genes, body shapes/ builds and metabolisms, but I've learnt over time that there's no point comparing yourself to others, especially not that 'perfect Instagram girl', as you are your own person and everyone has aspects of them that they absolutely hate about themselves that you'd never know. I've always struggled with having issues with my stomach, that bottom 'pouchy' bit that never seems to budge/ - some people have washboard stomachs, some people don't, that's just life. Some people have naturally slim legs, others don't, some people don't have to think twice about what they eat, others do. No one is the same and both are great ✌🏼 The most important thing is to be healthy, eat properly and not crash diet. I used to have a very unhealthy diet, binge and have weeks where I'd do consume a small amount of calories a day thinking it would make me 'skinny', but guess what I didn't feel or by any means look good. Your body needs food and to be fed properly. I never used to do proper weights, I would just run and cycle and do a few sit ups thinking that was a good workout at the gym, but I had no idea what I was doing (might work for some people, it didn't for me). I am definitely not a fitness guru nor do I pretend I know loaaaads about the gym/fitness game, but all I do know is understanding your body and not comparing yourself to others is the way forward, and realising that no one is perfect and being healthy/ having balance is key 👌🏼 bit embarrassed/nervous to put this up but felt the need to share, everyone is beautiful 💃🏼 ps thanks @guywatson for teaching me a thing or two 👸🏼😘
