- Sábado de #CerroDelHotelMaracay, por motivo de las carreras de trail 10K y 25K del circuito #GoTrail realizadas impecablemente por la gente de @retosinfo. La pasé experimentando buenas sensaciones con mi gente #BlanquiPowers del @centro_blanca_beltran, los amigos de @sandiegotrainingclub, de @ultramaratonve y poniéndome a punto en la montaña para próximos retos. En el Km 4,8 llegan a este sitio donde se halla "el container" ó "el cajón", antigua estación metereológica militar que cayó en desuso y punto de retorno para los usuarios habituales de la #CiudadJardín que buscan mantenerse en forma. Desde allí se divisa todo el sector oriental del Lago de Valencia, toda #Maracay y, con suerte si la calima lo permite, ¡hasta se puede ver el morro Paurario de San Juan de los Morros!. . Para los más aventureros, la ruta con sendero continúa por 7Km más y te lleva a zonas donde puedes encontrarte con caballos, petroglifos de la era precolombina y culmina afortunadamente en el sabroso río El Castaño, dentro del puesto de Guardaparques 'Las Cocuizas'. . Si vas en plan de senderismo, aparte de suficiente agua, bloqueador solar y comida, llevate una bolsita y recoge los desperdicios que encuentres en el camino. - 🏃🏽‍♀️This wkd I run less than I have planed because I felt to exhausted. And you know what I enjoyed my only race of the week-end cause I was relaxed and my body was rested. One important thing in sport is to get to know your body, I admit it’s important to have motivation and don’t find excuses, but you also need to know the border with excuses or real tiredness. Runners tend to get so caught up in a routine that we will do anything to get our run in, even if it means stressing ourselves out to do it. If you know your body and you truly don’t need or want a day off during a training segment just keep these tips in mind and be flexible if you find that you are feeling a little bit run down or stressed about getting your run in. One rest day can give you a few more days running, especially if you are feeling run down or injury prone. So it is really important to listen to your body I’ve learned that a key to successful long-term training is learning how to read your body, it will allows you to avoid injuries, and also bad performances. So I know how hard is it sometimes to no train, but try to not be too intense sometimes in the training. I have to admit from me it is a bit ironic as a runner and with most things in life when I do something I go all in, 100%, and I don’t like to break my routine. I think that most runners feel the same way and would agree that taking a day off from running can sometimes feel like a punishment, but with time I learn more and more my body and to relax and skip some trainings sometimes. And then when I m back on track, taking a rest day also allows mu body to absorb the training I have been doing and then when I am back on track you may actually see a fitness boost following a day of rest. I am 100% more efficient. But the truth is I'm exhausted from the weekend and wanted to sleep in a little longer plus I would rather do easy mileage outdoors anyway so I put on the layers and got moving. ❄️ 5 welcomed easy miles with some strides in the last mile to kick off this short work week! 🙌🏻 Have a great week, IG!

- 🔥DAY 36 - MY JOURNEY TO A SUB 40min 10k🔥 - ⭐️70 mins ⭐️Easy Pace ⭐️Hill Session - 📍After yesterday’s amazing run and feeling like I was on top of the world, I bounced out of bed today, threw my shoes on and headed out for my usual Sunday long run. - 📍It was a little chilly today, although still a gorgeous day with the sun shining and just a little hint of cloud cover. After enjoying the hills of Cannes soo much last week, I decided to put an extra 10mins into the run this week and venture further into them to see what else I could find. - 📍These hills are soo beautiful and extremely peaceful on a Sunday morning. There is barely a sound in the air and it is just you, the road and the sound of your foot steps grinding out the never ending cutbacks. - 📍I will say, my left calf has begun to twinge a little, especially after yesterday’s monster effort. I will need to be mindful of this and make sure I take care of it... GET ON THAT ROLLER!!! - 📍Another gorgeous run logged into the books and another start to a great week ahead. We are off to Monaco tomorrow for a little birthday getaway and so will most likely be taking the next 2 days off running to be able to enjoy this time with the family. - 📍Hopefully I will get to spot plenty of Supercars and mega yachts on our journey and live the high life of the party town that is Monaco 🇲🇨 - 📍Even if it is just for one day 🏎 - 🤗❤️I hope your enjoying this documentation of my journey to a sub 40min 10k❤️🤗 - ❓Should you have any running, training or fasting related questions, please don’t hesitate to ask below❓

- Look! I finally got in an early morning run!!!! I don’t know the last time I did this. This run was cold, painful, and terribly boring, but I loved every minute of it. I haven’t been able to run two days in a row in weeks. I didn’t feel great, so I cut it off after three miles, but I still feel like this is a start in the right direction. I have had to wait almost a week in between runs so I know I’m slowly improving. I go back to the chiropractor today for some more stretches so maybe I’ll get lucky and get in another run tomorrow 🤞. Oh and today is only a two day week for me!!!! #gotitfree #feelthefloatride
