- Helping our kids develop their fine & Gross Motor Skills. . Tip 2 – Get involved in tasks at home that involve heavy work and motor skills. . According to an Occupational Therapist from Ready Steady Go Kids, "Heavy work” helps children to focus and remain calm, and helps ease sensory needs. Many household chores and activities involve heavy work. Heavy work is an activity that requires using your joints / muscles and puts pressure on them as you move, for example pushing furniture; carrying bags of groceries; carrying laundry. . Littlies can do the dusting with an old sock on their hand; watering plants with a watering can/bucket; helping pack away toys using BBQ tongs (dirty laundry; puzzles / games / Lego blocks); sweeping / vacuuming; helping with the washing; aiming and throw balls of socks into the washing basket; pushing / pulling and moving the laundry basket. . For more tips, check out our article and interview at link in bio. . You can also switch on Little Rockers Radio daily for Ready Steady Go Kids activities every 30-minutes.

- Baby girl making music at Neshama Playground. This is a great park for Pre-schoolers. Neshama is Toronto’s first playground conceived for all children and advocates a ‘zero rejection policy,’ where no one is left out because of a disability. Neshama Playground includes a water play area, bounce pad, an enclosed merry-go-round, musical elements for children with autism, and panels with Braille for the visually-impaired and sign language diagrams for the hearing-impaired. There is also a swing and other play equipment specifically for kids in wheelchairs – as well as colourful, springy surfaces. This type of ground covering is soft, but solid, and facilitates wheelchair movement. #learningthroughplay #finemotorskills #grossmotorskills #barrierfreeplayground #neshamaplayground #babygirl
