Instagram photo by emilylevensonI've been going down the rabbit hole of tarot and am really loving it. Tonight's card: the Seven of Swords reversed.
An interesting pull, particularly after a vulnerable post over on the @wepropelle
The card's meaning (which brought a tear to my eye): The Seven of Swords is a card of mental challenges and rites of passage. The reversal of this card shows that you are finding it difficult to take the first step in a new direction. At times it may seem impossible that you could create the types of changes you want as you continually come up again setback after setback. Yet, you know in your soul, that when the timing is right, you will be able to follow through on your dreams, releasing an old pain from your heart.
The Seven of Swords over suggest that you need to break free from habits and ways of thinking in order to overcome the blockages they currently stand in your way. You need to except what is happening to you and act on it, rather than trying to escape. You need to do things differently, releasing yourself in past behaviors are limiting believes so that you can move forward in your life. Do not become trapped into thinking that you can only do certain things with with your family. Expand your consideration set to broader horizons.
Ah, those fears of not being fully accepted for who I am or for being laughed out of the room if people knew "the real me". It's time to let you go so that I can move forward with ease (and excitement).
