- πŸŒ…The Monday MindsetπŸŒ… ~ What is it about Mondays that makes them so special? "I'll do it Monday" "I'll start my diet and training on Monday" or what makes them so horrible to the point people blame every bad event on the fact that it's Monday? ~ Well you see, Monday isn't any different from any of the other 6 days of the week. What is different is the way people approach them. To me this is the Monday Mindset. Monday is the first day of the week and so it makes sense to make it a fresh start right? Well how about that New years resolution you made? How's that working? Using the Monday Mindset is essentially the same as making excuses, just in a different manner. You're justifying a present action based upon your interpretation or hope of the future. So you can justify going drinking on the weekend and going crazy in hopes that Monday will be smooth and you can diet again only to find Monday you have a party or some other event to go to and now you destroyed weeks of progress. It's not the right mindset and it won't lead to success. ~ Other people see Monday as the worst day of the week. To me it's my favorite day. It's day 1 of the week, what you do today sets the tone for the rest of the week. If you seize every opportunity it'll set you up for a great week, if not then you'll probably keep going on about how your new diet starts next Monday. ~ The point is stop adopting this weak mindset that Monday is when you'll start and everything will be smooth again. Begin living presently and stop basing your decisions on future events. I'm telling you that you will see better results, you'll be happier, and your life will be better. Stop complaining about Mondays and make it the best day of the week. Make it the same as every other day and not some speical day where every begins again. ~ I hope you find some value in this and it helps some people because I see way to many people go about their lives using the Monday Mindset. I've been guilty of it but I decided to make the change and it was totally worth it πŸ‘Œ ~

- My heart breaks a little bit every time someone tells me they step on the scale on a daily basis. We judge ourselves so harshly based on this number. I'm not saying I don't feel got with the number on the scale, but I know that not all progress can be measured in this way. I took measurements this morning now that I am 2 weeks into my current group challenge. I HAVE NOT LOST A SINGLE POUND. I have lost damn near 6 inches off my body though. The only thing I've done differently is clean up my nutrition. When I stay on plan, the plan works!!! Crazy! So if you're struggling with a number on the scale, I'm going to ask you to be patient and show yourself some grace. You deserve that.
