Instagram photo by lexuhhuhIn honor of national eating disorder awareness week, I'm speaking on behalf of myself and others who felt as though they had an image they needed to portray. ♦️
One thing that I know about my future is that I've been called to help those suffering from a negative body image or tainted relationship with food. I can assure you that there is more to life than your gravitational pull (aka your weight), your pant size, and how many calories you consume. ♦️
Also, it's important to be aware of your language. Comments such as "I can just puke this up later" or "I just won't eat for the rest of the week" even jokingly, can be triggering for those who have legitimately felt that way. ♦️
This post is also a reminder to myself: you are beautiful, you are more than enough and you'll always be, no matter your weight or the macros you consume.
You've been fearfully and wonderfully made. ♦️
