- One person i would love to see perform at the @afropunk Festival in Johannesburg is Brother Hakeem known as a Neuvou sartor and noir content creator for the BecauseBlack Co, Hakeem Anderson-Lesolang has etched in name in African literature as a black love enthusiast and articulates this with his mere presence cemented beautifully by his literary debut anthology, 200 Truths About Love. With an aim to get the book into the hands, homes & hearts of every young woman and forward thinking man he hasn't stopped working on ensuring his message is heard-across digital platforms. His following, both adorning and challenging of his take on the intricate art of love, loving & being loved have lauded his burst onto social media and likened him to laureates like Rumi, Alex Elle, Ijeoma Umebinyuo & Malanda Jean-Claude to but mention a few. He, however, credits his fortitude to his need to constantly fall in love with the man he's building towards and becoming daily. Coming from squalor and squandorous behaviour that went unchecked on his path to manhood he outlines various ways a man can change & set his pride aside in that pursuit. He lives his work and works on living gratefully without pause, apology or regret. You might know the man as the stage maverick, FlexBoogie. The artist many have regarded as a breath of fresh air in the South African music industry who has worked with every name under the S.A hip-hop mantle as a collaborator, coach & songwriter. | Space #Flexboogie #becauseblack #afropunk #afropunkfestival2017 #peopleofsouthafrica #johannesburg
