- It took me way too long to make this, but I figured it would be a nice visual for next week to see this each day and to remind myself of what is most important! My diet has been so-so lately & I've been working on it, but I know that if I really want to get to where I would like to be I need to start working out again. I really loved the Couch to 5K program even though I never completed it, but since it's sooooo effing hot out the only time I can bring myself to start it would be to do it first thing in the morning. That's fine though because fasted cardio goes well with my intermittent fasting...so win-win! - You may or may not have noticed that I haven't been posted any food or exercise pictures for the past few days. Well that's because I decided to do a short 3 day fast. Fasting is simply abstaining for all food for a period of time! After 3 full days of fasting, I got to break my fast this morning. I started Sunday night after dinner around 5:30pm and ended this morning at 9:30am. The first two days I actually felt hunger around 10:30 and about 5pm. But yesterday I didn't feel hungry at all!! I was able to quell the sensation by constantly drinking electrolyte water ( water, lemon juice and salt!) as suggested by the protocol I was following. I chose to embark on this fast for my overall health and wellness! That may sound counter intuitive to some, but the truth is there are many health benefits to fasting! Now, I'm in no way suggesting you do this yourself. I prepared for weeks before doing this and did a ton of research! Surprisingly, I feel and felt really well throughout the whole thing! I was expecting to feel weak and tired, but that was certainly not the case! It's amazing what the body can do when the mind tells it to! So with this little experiment, I was supposed to reintroduce foods that are considered inflammatory such as nightshade veggies like tomatoes, potatoes and egg plants! So I started out with a a bulletproof coffee around 8am just because I figured I'd get my stomach working a little before putting anything else in there. I reintroduced a snack sized portion of tomatoes 🍅 first around 9:50am and waited to see if I had a negative reaction. I was shocked that I didn't have any reaction since I always felt like tomatoes make my tongue itch! About an hour after eating the tomato, I had a small handful of pistachios. Not because I thought they affected me in any way, but because I wanted to see if they did. And to my delight, no reaction. Another hour after that, I ate a little bit of raw coconut just because I love coconuts! lol 😂 and seeing that there's no reaction from any of these items, I decided to eat a normal lunch of avocado, jicama and carrot salad, sautéed greens and leftover carnitas. - Tarte tatin aux tomates 🍅 . Bon, soyons honnête, ca ne ressemble pas du tout à la photo de @topsante 😳 . J'ai un peu pimpé la recette pour qu'elle plaise à tout le monde avec une mozzarella et une aubergine 🍆 . J'ai réalisé la pâte brisée avec de la farine de pois chiche et moitié petit épeautre. On verra si le faible taux de gluten est supportable ou pas (ca va être rapide !) . Un peu de basilic, d'herbe de Provence et de pignons de pin 🌲 pour accompagner tout ça et c'est délicieux ! . Si vous souhaitez la recette, c'est en dessous : Il vous faudra 4 tranches de jambon cru, 1,5kg de tomates 🍅, 50gr de beurre, 4 c à s de parmesan râpé 🧀, 1 pâte brisée, 50gr sucre . - préchauffer le four à 180. Laver les tomates 🍅 et les couper en 2 - faire fondre le beurre et le sucre dans le four - disposer les tomates dans le plat, côté bombé en haut. Repartir le jambon cru, le parmesan 🧀 (et la mozza si vous faites comme moi ce soir, avec l'aubergine 🍆) Saler, poivrer - recouvrer avec la pâte brisée en rentrant les bords à l'intérieur - enfourner pour 45 min - server la tarte tiède ou froide avec un peu de basilic, herbes ou des copeaux de parmesan (ou tout ce que vous voulez d'ailleurs !) .
