Sometimes we can't just rely on our moisturisers to keep us from feeling tight and parched throughout the day, maybe we don't want to ruin our makeup by massaging on moisturiser or don't have some with us. So a quick and convenient spritz re injects the skin with the much needed moisture and reforms a barrier to keep it locked in.
Being a moisture junkie myself, I have normal/oily/dehydrated/combination skin, my skin can get very confused as to which group it falls in, but I personally find my dehydrated side calls out for help the most. Obviously apart from making sure I'm drinking enough water for my body (which I'm not), I need to make sure I've got a good system of hydration going on atop of my skin too. Face mists have become a somewhat MUST HAVE for me and here are the ones I've tried/own myself:
⢠My own DIY hydrating mist. This is a non-glycerine based mist, because I'm NOT a fan of the sticky tacky feel of glycerine so I was forced to come up with my own concoction. And I LOOOVE IT! (Want a post on how to make this? Let me know down below ððð½ðð½ðð½)
â¢The Body Shop Vitamin E mist, addicted to this one since its mist is sooo fine, delicate and even, okay decent-ish amount of moisture deliverance.
â¢The Body Shop Vitamin C Mist, I was intrigued by the vitamin C, but this one is meh... Doesn't spray finely and evenly, it squirts more often ð.
â¢MAC Fix+, I enjoy using this before foundations to make it blend in with more emollience and moisture and as a multi use product. LOVE, but can get pricey if used too often!
â¢Avon Makeup Setting Spray, less hydration related, more to keep my makeup stay in place for longer. It's good, but I haven't used it enough to test it out.
â¢Avene Thermal Spring Water, this mahoosive 300ml 'tin can' can get addictive because of its cooling, fine and delicately even mist, adds moisture to the skin (since it is just water) but not emollience, but it's so cooling it's addictive, love it for the summer months.
I can't live without face mists now! Do you use any face sprays/mists and what are your favourites?
